Dan then swung his blade at the being's abdomen. Only for it to be deflected, and not even a single scratch found on the being.

Dan's face immediately turned pale. But there was no time to be stunned, as Dan felt his instincts kick in.
Using the wall beside him. Dan ran up the wall and made a flip landing on the other side of the being.
A few seconds later, a large tail landed just where Dan had stood.
"I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but this much harder than I thought."
Dan then gripped Soul Reaper tightly as he rushed in again.
Dan ran towards the hissing creature. His sword slashed down on the creature. Again, the Soul Reaper met with the creature's tough skin. The blade slid off without dealing any damage.
The creature then swiped at Dan with its claws. But Dan was able to duck down in time. He was able to avoid by a hair's breadth.
Dan's body turned cold, sweat dripping down his forehead. He looked at the creature's claws one more time.
