"Well, I guess it's time for you two to head inside," Obsidian said.
"Yeah, we'll be going now. Take care of yourself," Frederick replied.
"I'll be fine once I get some rest," Obsidian assured, though there was still a hint of hesitation in his voice. It was clear he was worried about his master.
Kyoji and Frederick walked through the academy gates, quickly blending into the crowd.
Butler James and Obsidian watched them go until they were out of sight. Then Butler James turned to Obsidian and gave a small bow.
"It's been good knowing you," he said with a calm smile.
He lowered his sunglasses just enough to reveal eyes like polished white glass—blank, ancient, and far too deep to be considered normal.
Obsidian Gaze froze for just a second.
Then, without saying anything else, the butler stepped into the car with Charles, and the vehicle quietly drove away.
