Chapter 126 – The Moraku Awakening
CLANK…
The thick, rusted door to Cell 779 creaked open.
Out of the darkness stepped Silas Moraku, barefoot on the cold concrete floor, his long white hair matted but flowing like a spectral banner. His black prison robes, torn at the sleeves, clung to his lean, muscular frame. One eye was hidden beneath a bloodied eyepatch, and the other glowed with ominous crimson light.
Before him stood a man cloaked in black robes and shadowed charisma—Huey the First.
"Welcome, Silas Moraku," Huey said, voice deep and smooth like silk over steel.
Silas cocked his head, his expression unreadable. "Who's thee that summons me?"
"Call me Huey."
Silas grinned faintly. "Huey, huh? Impressive… what you've done so far, I must say."
Huey's tone sharpened. "We don't have much time. This place will soon be flooded with Knights and Hunters from S.U.H.A." He took a step closer. "So I ask you—are you joining the ranks of mine, Silas?"
Silas chuckled darkly. "Most definitely… as long as I'm free to utilize my trait as much as I want."
Huey nodded once. "Definitely the chances will come Silas."
A beat passed.
"Where's your sister?" Huey asked
Silas raised a brow, then nodded toward the adjacent cell. "The next door."
Huey's smile widened. "Shall we pay her a visit, then?"
Inside Sakamoto's Cell…
Asger Moraku stood like a phantom beside Sakamoto, her black hair flowing like living ink.
She leaned toward him and whispered, "Boy, my twin has been released."
Her tone was laced with venom and warning.
"He's a devastator. He enjoys killing. I do too. But now… we've got to move."
Sakamoto narrowed his eyes. "What are you talking about?"
"I need your help. If you assist me, I'll make an opening for us," she said, glancing at the ceiling. "My brother… he will want to kill me at any cost. He's tried for years. Failed. Not until we were both locked here."
Suddenly, she bent down, wrapped her foot around a rusted floor chain, and yanked it upward. It spun into her hand like a serpent. Then, shockingly, she twisted her arm and legs —and RIIIPP—her right hand severed itself clean off, flopping to the floor.
Sakamoto's face paled.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!"
Asger grinned, unfazed. "If my brother's joined The Ten, then you haven't seen crazy."
With a quick inhale, she lifted her stump. "Don't worry—my hand isn't a problem. See?"
With a sickening squelch, flesh began regenerating, sinew and skin wrapping around bone until a new, perfect hand emerged.
She flexed her fingers.
"I had to do that. These Shen-restricting chains respond to live neural pathways. Severing them? Disables the link."
CRACK!
She punched the remaining manacle and it shattered, her form now free. She looked to Sakamoto.
"Now I can do whatever I like. Let's go, boy."
Sakamoto, stunned, asked, "If you could do that all this time—why didn't you?"
"Because if I tried earlier, the Warden would've killed me, his ability is real death" Her voice turned ice cold. "I needed the right moment."
She reached out her new fingers, and from her tips, blood bubbles formed in mid-air—each swirling like crimson glass.
The blood shot forward, injecting into the chains around Sakamoto. They fizzed, cracked, and crumbled to the floor in seconds.
"Blood…?" he muttered.
"Yes. That's my clan trait. And more." She stepped toward the door. "Now we leave."
But as the metal door creaked open and they both phased out something unexpected happened,Huey and Silas were waiting.
Asger's eyes sharpened.
"Shit."
In one motion, she grabbed Sakamoto and launched backward, putting distance between them.
Silas's grin spread slowly. "Sister… my poor sister. No greeting for big brother? Running off already? Like a chicken?"
He turned to Huey.
"Would you do me a favor and remove these chains for a moment?"
Huey narrowed his gaze. "The hybrid boy…?"
With a silent nod, Huey raised his palm, and an eerie aura coated his hand. The chains around Silas shattered instantly.
Silas stretched his fingers. "Finally free—"
But before he could finish, Asger's eyes flared.
"Tissue Bending: Remote Jetting ."
THWOOOSH!!!
Her fingers twitched, and in an instant, both Silas and Huey were hurled through the air, crashing into the metal walls with deafening force.
BANG!
"Ughh…" Silas spat blood. "This bitch…"
Huey rose calmly, brushing off dust.
"The famous Tissue Bending of the Moraku clan," he mused. "And the feared Blood Bending. Your family has many surprises."
But when he looked up—Asger and Sakamoto were already gone.
Silas growled. "I'm going after them—"
"No," Huey said, raising a hand. "We don't have that time."
He pointed upward.
Above them—two helicopters hovered in place, their blades chopping the air violently.
Huey exhaled. "We need to go."
Silas smirked. "Hold on, I need to test something."
His voice darkened.
"Voremortis… Awake."
SSSSSSSSSHHHH!!!
A pool of blood erupted from behind him, swirling upward like a living nightmare. From within it rose a massive serpentine form—Voremortis, a beast of blood and shadow.
"Blood Bending: Voremortis Snake Hound."
ROAAAAARRRR!!!
The snake lunged, striking one of the helicopters. The metal instantly began to melt, eaten by acidic blood. The second helicopter panicked, tilted—and the two collided in midair—
BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!
A fiery explosion lit the sky. In the smoke and flames, Huey and Silas vanished.
Meanwhile, near the edge of Alcatraz…
Huey the Second stood before Fendro, arms behind his back, his robes swaying in the wind.
"Helicopters, huh? Reinforcements?"
He smirked.
"Well… playtime's over."
Fendro's breathing slowed.
"What do you mean playtime is over?" As Fendro struggled to breath.
Huey shook his head with a dark smile. "While you thought you were protecting Alcatraz… by fighting me here and keeping off the entrance you failed. The prison is empty. Wiped clean."
Fendro's eyes widened in horror.
"You're saying… you were a decoy?" He questioned.
Huey whispered—
"Creation Order: Devouring Rod."
FWSHHHH!!!
A crimson rod of divine energy formed in Huey's hand and with a sonic crack, it pierced Fendro's chest, shattering his ribs and heart instantly.
THUD.
Fendro collapsed, blood pooling beneath him,Huey stepped over his body, walking to the main gate. He extended his palm and muttered—
"Domination Strike."
FWWOOOOOOMMMMM!!!
A monumental blast of Shen energy surged from Huey's body, crackling with raw destruction. The entire island shook, and the remnants of Alcatraz prison were vaporized in a beam of light that stretched skyward.
The world felt it.
Across Nuuk, Hunters paused as a wave of Shen passed over them like a ghostly chill.
Huey watched the last of the rubble vanish into ash.
"They need to know…" he said coldly.
"…The Ten is coming."
And then, he disappeared into the air.
End Chapter.
