Immediately his face twisted into something between anger and disgust.
"You think just because you married Abigail, you can act like you're someone important?"
Damien took a step closer, his voice dropping into a low, dangerous whisper meant only for Jerry to hear.
"Let me tell you something," Damien said, his eyes burning with hatred.
"I don't care about any of this."
He motioned vaguely around the grand hall, around the whispering guests.
"I don't care about your little game,"Damien sneered.
Then he leaned in even closer, his words sharp and heavy.
"Whether you like it or not, I'm going to make sure Abigail divorces you," he said darkly.
Jerry's eyes remained calm, but a flicker of steel passed through them, damien wasn't finished.
"You think you won something?" he whispered coldly.
"You didn't."
"She didn't marry the love of her life," Damien said, his mouth curling into a cruel smile.
"Her love was Owen. Not you."
