Not long after entering Squire Manor, Leah was called away by Griffith, and Delphine was about to find a quiet place when she ran directly into Jocelyn Yeager holding a champagne glass.
Jocelyn gave her a slight smile, his handsome face brimming with charm, and said softly, "You look beautiful today."
Delphine returned a faint smile and instinctively glanced around, not spotting Ignatius Leclair anywhere. Only then did she ask, "How's your injury? I'm sorry I haven't been able to visit you."
"It's much better now." A flicker of deep emotion flashed in Jocelyn's eyes. He naturally understood why Delphine hadn't gone to the hospital to see him. Unfortunately, though he had toppled Leo Yeager, he hadn't succeeded in creating a rift between Delphine and Ignatius Leclair.
