Chapter 72: Overwhelmed by Show-offs
Early the next morning, Lin Qin and Meng Chao went to the film set since they had an early shoot.
About an hour later, Meng Ke arrived, but he seemed low in spirits, looking utterly dejected as if he'd suffered a major blow.
When Meng Chao was taking a break, Meng Ke leaned over to him, "I'm heading back at noon."
With Han Zhi leaving, Meng Ke also wanted to leave. Knowing he'd benefitted from his brother, he still came over to say goodbye, which showed he had a lot of affection for his brother, Meng Chao.
Meng Chao glanced at Meng Ke, teasing, "What? Failed to pull off your drunken bravado last night?"
Meng Ke let out a long sigh at the mention of this, "Let's not talk about it." He looked a bit defeated, not wanting to elaborate.
Meng Chao clicked his tongue sympathetically, "Poor guy."
But in the next second, Meng Ke changed to a hopeful expression, "Do you have any work lined up after this movie is finished?"
