Mu Shuoqian glanced at the friend request but outright ignored it.
The next morning, Gu Qili received a call from Grand Lisboa, informing her to attend a week-long new employee training starting from tomorrow.
She was still in bed when she took the call, half-asleep at first, but upon hearing the news, she was instantly wide awake.
After hanging up, she sat up straight away. Mu Shuoqian was still asleep, his long and strong arm firmly wrapped around her waist.
Gu Qili looked at his sleeping face and, with a smile, lay back down, sharing the same pillow and silently counting his eyelashes.
All of this felt like a dream. She didn't even know when she had fallen for him. He was clearly bad-tempered, with a crafty mind and a sharp tongue.
It turns out, liking someone happens imperceptibly, without one noticing, silently and softly, until one stumbles and falls into the whirlpool of love, unable to extricate oneself.
