Giovanni, Leader of Team Rocket frowned as he stared at the report on his desk, he had a personal briefing done with the members of Operation Thunder, and from what he could figure out, it all spiraled out of control because of two people.
Cynthia Shirona, a young adult just entering the big stages, recently just won the Sinnoh League and was exploring the world for experience and fun before attempting the Elite Four of her region.
Raven Inanis, a young man of similar age, a very empty file, as if he just came into existence recently. No trails to follow or anything. Possesses five badges and a decent team. Haunter, Sylveon and Lapras. Plus an unknown egg.
However he frowned as he looked in the league database that said he had four Pokemon not counting the egg. Four registered Pokemon.
A secret Pokemon? Hidden from leauge public databases?
"How interesting." He mused and used the back door entrance in the private leauge files and searched for the file of Raven Inanis.
"There we go. Not let us see if we can catch something interesting." Giovanni grinned as he watched the gym battles saved in the file.
"Koraidon. Interesting, it is definitely an ancient type of Pokemon not belonging to this time. A fossil perhaps?" He mused curious as he watched the remaining four gym battles involving the Pokemon.
"Well well well, truly a sneaky man. Smartly declaring his battles involving Koraidon a private one to prevent public knowledge from slipping out. He kinda reminds me of myself when I was younger." Giovanni mused as he had a flashback of his younger days. The thrill of fighting.
"Well now, I haven't felt this excited since Red. I wonder if that boy is still hiding away on that mountain?" Giovanni mused as he looked at his desk at the six ultra balls laying there.
"Sir, the report for Operation Flame has been sent to your email." His secretary said through the intercom, he didn't respond, but did go to open his email to look at the report.
"Prepare yourself Raven Inanis, I will personally test you one day." Giovanni said as he clenched his fist for a moment as he felt his heart speed up for a moment.
Excitement at the thought of battling a worthy challange again.

Mewtwo stared with glowing blue eyes as he stood connected to a bunch of machines. Testing his brain waves and health.
Soon, soon he would be free.
No longer would he be held captive by Giovanni, by team rocket.
For now, he would grow his power, but soon, he would be ready.

A pair of dark eyes stared into the blowing winter storm from his cave. A hint of something unknown in those eyes.

"Raven Inanis?" A voice called out and I smiled as I stood up.
"Hello!" I smiled at the person before me, my opponent, Gym Leader Erika.
She's kinda cute in a petite type of girl way. In her early 20's, and this cute, I can see why she has such dedicated fans in this city. I'm pretty sure I dodged joining a cult this morning about her.
Now if this was a cult about Cynthia… ok stop being down bad and focus on this gym battle.
"Welcome to the gym, I just wish to confirm with you, this is for your sixth gym badge." She stated and I nodded my head.
"Yes, my sixth gym badge battle." I responded and she nodded before gesturing to a hallway and I followed her.
"Tell me Mr. Inanis, what do you think about perfume?"
Oh, was this some kind of decision if she should go all out on me with her chosen team for the select amount of gym badges. Also perhaps a trap where she refused to give me a gym battle like she did Ash in the anime because of him dissing perfume, it was stupid and petty, but gym leaders are allowed to choose if they actually battle someone.
"Perfume huh? I'm not the biggest fan, I understand some people like to use it for various reasons, but I prefer just going natrual, besides my deodorant of course." I said and she nodded pleased.
"I see. Well then, I will warn you now before we battle, the sixth gym badge battle and further will all be much harder then your previous gym battles, the strength we use will become much higher. It will not be easy for you." Erika warned and I let my battle lust smile form.
"That is exactly what we want." I said grinning and she sighed, oh, did she have experience with a fellow battle maniac?
Good!
"Very well, you have been warned. I hope it is to your desires." Erika said I mentally laughed at the defeated tone she had.
She opened a door and we walked into a giant glass room, a standard battle field surrounded by flora.
"I'm not held response for any damage to the flora right?" I asked a touch nervous.
"No, any damages will be covered by the league since this is an offical league sponsored battle."

Arcues sighed as Raven used his name again. Why was his name used like this damnit!?
Giratina laughed to the side as he watched.
He got a hyper beam to the face.

"This is a offical gym battle for the sixth badge between Gym Leader Erika and Challenger Raven Inanis! The challenger may recall Pokemon only. This battle is a four Pokemon limit. Standard battle rules. Gym Leader Erika throws out first." The referee called out as she raised her flag to Erika's side.
Now the question is, which pokemon would she started with?
"Come on out, Jumpluff!"
Alright, now I knew how to work for this, I stayed up studying about the pokemon I felt we would battle.
"Come on out, Haunter! It's time to play some games." I said as my shadow expanded and Haunter's ominous cackle was heard as he rose out of my shadow.
I can't wait for him to become a Gengar, things would definitely get interesting with how we can do these kind of theatrics.

That's it for today, I want the next chapter to just fully be the gym battle itself, I thought about doing this as a long chapter, but I decided not to.
