The library was quiet.
I stood in the middle of it, turning slowly as I took in the space. Shelves stretched in every direction, packed with old books and glowing screens. Everything looked neat like the place was hardly used but regularly cleaned.
I walked forward, letting my fingers trail along the edge of a screen that hovered in the air. The moment I touched it, words lit up across its surface. A search menu. Perfect.
"Grandmaster rank," I whispered and typed it in.
The screen buzzed softly and glowed brighter. In a second, a map of the library appeared, with small glowing points marking the shelves where the books and scrolls on Grandmaster rank were kept.
I followed the map.
The shelves here weren't made of wood. Some were smooth crystal. Others looked like old stone, pulsing faintly with energy. As I reached the section, books began floating toward me—one after another.
I stood and began reading.
