He didn't want Shuri to know he had exchanged his blessing to save her life, nor did he want her to discover the darker parts of his past.
Losing her in their previous life had turned him into a murderer, and he couldn't bear for her to know that.
Shuri furrowed her brows but didn't press further, adhering to her principle of not looking into the innocence and people she loved without their permission.
However, she felt displeased that Noran was hiding something from her, so she pushed him away.
"If you insist on keeping secrets from me, then I will never kiss you again."
Noran, startled and anxious at her words, quickly grasped her hand. "Rin, please don't do this to me."
But she refused to let him hold her.
"I don't like you keeping secrets from me."
