Ruby and Rayna didn't say a word for a few moments.
"Who's stronger?" Ruby asked
"It's not that simple," Parth explained. "Let's say we battle, and I win. As a transcendent, our battle will be catastrophic, and the kingdom will take unnecessary damage. You have to take into account public opinion, Ruby."
"Grandfather, we don't have a lot of options! We're backed into a corner and have to do everything we can. If the people are upset, then let them cry; they'll get over it."
Just as Parth was about to respond, a knock came from the door. "Sir! We've gotten word that the Church has attacked the castle!"
Parth then turned to Rayna and Ruby. "We wait and strike when the time is right. Don't worry, victory will be ours in the end."
