"We should move," Darius said.
Auri blinked, as if waking from something he hadn't meant to fall into. The warmth between them, the steady rhythm of Darius' breath—it had anchored him so completely that he'd almost forgotten why they were here at all.
Mission. Hawad. Danger.
Right.
"Y-Yeah," Auri murmured, voice quieter than he meant. He shifted back a fraction, enough to create distance without making it obvious, schooling his expression into something neutral. "Right. Let's go."
But Darius didn't move immediately. His gaze lingered on him a moment longer. "You feeling better?"
Auri gave a small nod, avoiding the directness of Darius' eyes. "Better enough. Just... need a bit more time to use my skills again."
