Looking at the egg placed exactly at the center, a grin slowly spread across Ash's face beneath the cloth mask hiding his expression.
Hehe...
Then, his attention shifted toward Taylor, who was moving quietly among the many dragon eggs.
I expected him to be fuming, desperate to catch me, but it seems like he actually knows how to control his emotions.....
Ash crouched low, hiding himself behind one of the large platforms that held a dragon egg. It was wide and tall enough to completely shield him from sight.
His eyes, however, remained fixed on the red egg in the center of the chamber. In all the novels and manhwas he had read, one thing was always consistent—the rarest or most important treasure was always placed right in the center.
If I go for any other egg, there's a good chance that dragon will notice something. It's safer to grab the one at the center first, and then I can snatch another on my way out and escape in a single move.
