Geoffrey swiftly raised his hands, unleashing a burst of lightning that exploded between them, blasting everyone apart.
As the smoke began to clear, the wound sealed shut.
But as it did, his legs gave out.
His healing was working, but it cost him. Every time.
Isaac didn't speak. He stood a few steps away, quiet, still, watching.
Geoffrey coughed up blood. He wiped it off.
"You… I'll kill you!"
There was a soft cracking sound.
Isaac tilted his head to one side. Then the other.
He walked forward.
Geoffrey panicked. He cast another healing spell to fix his broken shoulder.
A gold light flickered. It wasn't strong.
His body was getting weaker. His mana was draining fast. But he refused to give up.
"I won't lose to you!" he yelled. The veins in his neck were bulging. "Do you even know who I am? The gods speak my name!"
Isaac still didn't answer.
The silence scared Geoffrey more than yelling would have.
