Chapter 170 - Chapter 170: Let's Take Advantage of the Free Time to Meet an Old Friend

Itachi knelt down.

He opened the cold storage bag, and inside it lay the body of Uchiha Shisui.

Orochimaru's eyes lit up as though he had discovered a long-lost treasure. He exclaimed in delight, "So this is where he ended up. No wonder I couldn't find Shisui's body no matter how hard I searched."

Itachi sighed. "After Shisui jumped off the cliff, I knew both the clan and Danzō would never let go of his body. So, after awakening my Mangekyō Sharingan, I tracked him down and preserved his corpse. This was how I was able to keep his body hidden all this time."

He stood and looked at Naruto with firm resolve in his eyes. "Now, Naruto, I entrust Shisui to you."

Naruto nodded and turned to Orochimaru. "Uncle Snake, I'll leave this to you."

Orochimaru smiled slyly. "No problem. Leave it to me."

Itachi narrowed his eyes slightly. "Naruto, are you planning to resurrect Shisui?"

Naruto nodded without hesitation. "Of course. We've already established a successful method of resurrection. I'll continue reviving the worthy. Shisui deserves to return."

Nagato, standing at the side, glanced at Naruto. "Naruto, I might need to rest a bit before performing the Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique again. Reviving Shisui might have to wait until tomorrow."

Naruto waved his hand. "It's fine,Nagato. I'll do it myself this time. Shisui's revival will happen today."

Nagato's expression changed. "No! If you perform the technique, who's going to provide you with the necessary chakra source?!"

Naruto smiled calmly. "There's no one better than Uncle Snake. He's a considerable chakra reservoir himself. What do you say, Uncle Snake? Can you do it?"

Orochimaru wiped the sweat from his brow, feigning exasperation. "You're always in such a rush. I really can't say no to you, can I? Fine, let me rest for a bit, and I'll accompany you through the ritual later."

But Nagato stepped forward urgently. "No, Naruto. I won't let you take this risk. If that's the case, then let me do it!"

Naruto placed a hand on Nagato's shoulder. "Big bro, you've already done enough."

"I said no, and I meant it!" Nagato snapped firmly, stepping in front of Naruto with unwavering resolve.

"I has always supported your decisions, Naruto. But this one—this one we're not discussing. You must follow my orders. You're the leader of our group now.

If something happens to you, the entire meaning of our team falls apart.

Have you considered that?

Even if the Reanimation technique has proven effective, the risk still exists!

Don't recklessly put yourself in harm's way, Naruto!"

Nagato stared at him seriously and tightened his grip on Naruto's shoulder.

Itachi also stepped forward and added, "Nagato is right, Naruto. There's no need to rush things. Waiting a little longer won't hurt."

Naruto stood silently for a few seconds, then exhaled deeply. "Fine. It seems I've been a bit impatient."

Ever since the separation from Obito in the Land of Lightning, Naruto couldn't shake the discomfort left by Obito's final words. Especially after Obito returned and reset the entire Kamui dimension—Naruto had lost track of Obito's coordinates entirely.

There was another pressing concern: Sasuke's continued absence.

Sasuke hadn't made a move in too long.

And that wasn't like him at all.

In his heart, Naruto had a gut feeling—he almost knew what Obito was planning. He was cultivating Sasuke's Rinnegan, just like in Naruto's previous life, in order to pit Sasuke against him.

So when Naruto returned with Itachi, he'd been ready to initiate a massive resurrection plan.

Because once Obito obtained the Rinnegan again, he would definitely gather the Tailed Beasts as he had before. At that point, Uchiha Madara would also appear on the battlefield, and the wheels of history would begin to spin once more.

That was something Naruto had to prepare for.

He needed to strengthen their forces—fast.

"Alright," Naruto said. "We'll handle the resurrection tomorrow. For now, let's use this time to visit an old friend, Itachi."

He turned toward Nagato. "Big Bro, tell me where Hoshigaki Kisame is being stored. I'm pulling him out."

"I'll go," Nagato said immediately.

"No," Naruto shook his head. "You need proper rest."

Nagato grinned. "I might be tired, but I can still handle a little manual labor."

Itachi's expression subtly shifted. Kisame was still dead—frozen, in fact. Was Naruto planning to bring Kisame back to life as well?

Nagato led Naruto and Itachi to the cold storage facility, pulled out Hoshigaki Kisame's frozen body, and dragged it all the way outside to the tower.

Kisame's entire body was frozen solid. Itachi stared at his former partner, emotion flickering in his usually stoic gaze.

"Kisame…"

Naruto pulled out a scroll and smiled. "Don't worry. He'll be speaking to you again very soon."

Itachi blinked in surprise. "Wasn't Kisame dead? Are you planning to use the Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique on him now, Naruto?"

Naruto unsealed the scroll. "No need. I never killed Kisame. The reason he's like this is because I sealed his soul separately. And now, I'm going to return it."

With that, Naruto formed several hand seals. "Soul Seal—Release!"

With a hiss of releasing energy, a human-shaped orb of blue chakra emerged from the scroll. Naruto grabbed it and hurled it into Kisame's chest.

The blue chakra orb slowly fused into Kisame's body.

Then, without hesitation, Naruto kicked Kisame's body off the edge of the tower and sent it plunging into the water below.

"It's fine," Naruto said, brushing his hands. "Let him soak for a while. This guy will be up and swimming in no time."

Sure enough, as soon as Kisame's body entered the water, the gill slits along his skin began to twitch and breathe. Though his body sank initially, his limbs began to move. The stiffness began to fade rapidly.

His vital signs recovered quickly.

Moments later, Kisame's eyes snapped open.

"Where… is this…? Wasn't I… dead?"

As the water soaked into his skin, he blinked rapidly and looked down at his own arm.

"No… I'm underwater…"

The shock hit him like a wave. Kisame thrashed and kicked his legs, fully conscious now, and began to swim toward the surface light above him.

With a gasp and a roar, Kisame burst from the water.

"Where the hell am I? Why the hell am I in some lake? Wait… this place—looks like a village!"

He glanced around, frowning at the unfamiliar surroundings. Then, something clicked. He quickly turned around, his eyes narrowing upward toward the tower.

"Hey! Kisame, if you're already awake, why are you still swimming around down there?"

That voice—Naruto.

Kisame's expression turned into a scowl. "This bastard…"

He remembered everything from just before he passed out. The events came back in fragments, and just as he prepared to curse Naruto out, his eyes landed on someone else standing on the tower.

The shock wiped away all his thoughts.

"That's… Itachi-san?!"
