Whilst at the ride Simon kept pondering thinking to himself what he might lack, finally after the ride they went back but before Simon could get out of the car he noticed Kaelis sleeping peacefully
Simon gently picked up Kaelis not wanting to wake him up, as he got Kaelis Selene looked at them and tapped Simon's shoulder
"Give me Kaelis, I'm the one putting him to bed"
Simon wanted to argue against it but he stopped himself not wanting to wake Kaelis up as he gave Kaelis to Selene she had a smirk plastered on her face knowing Simon wouldn't fight back
Simon sighed and smiled at them before going to his room, he lay in bed staring up at the ceiling thinking about what he could've lacked and how he could fill in what he lacks
Suddenly a knock on the door interrupted his thoughts and so he opened it and saw Alastair
"Good evening, Master Simon I was sent by Sir Magnus to inform you"
Simon looked surprised and nervous so he invited Alastair inside, Alastair sat on Simon's seat looking at Simon who was sitting on the bed
"I was sent here to inform you that you can officially stay here as a member of the family and not a guest anymore, but before I leave, I have something personal to say, master."
Simon looked curious and he responded with a simple response
"Hm? What is it?"
Alistair then responded with a blunt response
"I saw a video of you in a duel with Kaelen Ashwryn and you brought loss to the Velthornes yet you seem to have potential with that strange magic, I know someone to help you learn more about that, I believe that looks to be Cosmic type magic, and the fire magic you used lacked passion and determination the very core and power of fire that's why you lost in the battle of fire"
Simon nodded and asked Alastair about the person who could help him with cosmic magic
"So who's the person you're talking about?"
Alastair smirked and confidently responded
"Let's make a bet, if you do make it to the 1st place tomorrow at the Mid-term exam then I'll tell you who I'm talking about"
Simon smiled and nodded accepting the deal after Alastair left the room leaving Simon alone with his thoughts now having the revelation he needed to become stronger

Simon smiled before he nodded and decided to himself, he'll gamble with his life

Simon gulped and read nervously for more details he felt a cold sweat running down his face

Before he could talk to Ares a deep and echoing voice filled with honor and pride loud and clear like that of a commander leading his army into battle was heard in Simon's head
"You may enter, show your feeble and lacking desire and I shall see mold you into a worthy warrior"
Simon silently celebrated and used the technique as he was creating the worlds ruled over by the constellations he felt his mind aching, hurting as if it was being beaten, in just some moments his senses started to fail him, the world became black, and he felt no sensation no noise, taste, touch and eyesight.
He felt scared dread soon filled Simon's existence threatening to devour him and overpower Simon he started to panic his heart raced with adrenaline and fear but his determination didn't falter
In just some minutes he felt the world coming back to him and he was grateful in front of him stood the status window displaying some texts
[Congratulations, you overcame the trial for the Divine Nexus you can officially travel and explore the other worlds that your constellations are ruling over]
Simon fell to the ground getting knocked out exhausted and tired, but then he was startled by the screams and cries of the people as war raged on all around him
Simon looked around, he noticed he was sitting on a pool of blood coming from piles of bodies leaking red rivers of blood
Suddenly a group of human-like monsters wearing similar armors of gold while they hold weapons like swords, hammers, and axes hold Simon down
The other monsters free from holding Simon down to the ground hit him, slashed at him, and pounded his body using the hammers
"Argh! Fu- agh!"
Simon screams a blood-curdling scream as he is powerless only able to watch as he is massacred not being able to do anything else
Simon desperately tried to use his mana yet a lone system window showed him some texts
[Unable to use 'Mana' you must go through this trial alone using your own strength"]
As Simon's world fades further into darkness Ares' voice rings out in Simon's mind mocking him if he's just going to die here
[What you're gonna let yourself be killed in a place like this? Are you that pitiful you can't fight back?]
Simon's body felt like it was getting tortured a hundred times over yet he only felt rage and determination to move forward
[You're really gonna let yourself fall in this place? Tell me through before you die, little lamb, what's your passion? Why did you fight for this long?]
Simon thought to himself and 2 desires came to mind, he could barely speak after getting his body destroyed even now he was still getting tortured yet he spoke with pride
"Passion huh? Never really thought about it... If I were forced to answer that then it'd be to protect my loved ones and destroy those who have wronged me. I want to overthrow the heavenly forces that have tortured me with their 'blessings.' It's a shame it'll end here now..."
Suddenly Ares spoke up amused yet he mocked Simon
[Haha! To overthrow the gods? That's an insane goal. But you're far too weak. You may have the 'determination', but you're just going to let yourself go in this place? Follow me, little lamb, and I'll mold you into a person worthy of wielding not just my power but the whole pantheon's prowess.]
Simon felt angry to have someone laugh at his ideals after going this far and so he spoke with anger and rage one which amused not just Ares but the others
[Good. Now rise and fight, use your passion, and ignite greed to rule over not just your own but our power too. Show me why you are the right choice.]
Suddenly just before Simon's senses dulled and darkened a flame consumed his body going deep into his wounds before he could think that he was dead it healed him and empowered him to stand with renewed power
"Wha- no that isn't right. Ignite my greed right? Then... Fall your worms, and grovel at my feet!"
Just his words made the group of monsters fall to their feet as if gravity just collapsed in itself.
