On my way to Carlos, my steps halted as I realised I was leaving Jane to sleep alone. What if she needed something?
Going back to my room, I dialled Brian's number while opening my laptop again to see what Carlos was up to.
"Yes," Brian's voice came in at the same time I pulled up the footage outside my office.
"Where are you?"
"In the warehouse."
"Come to the mansion and take Carlos to the dungeons and tie him there. I'll see him in the morning."
"What? Why?"
"We'll talk tomorrow. Do as I said."
"Oh. Okay."
Ending the call, I stared at Jane. She had been through so much but still stood strong amid all these dangers, scheming, planning and plotting.
She might think she was alone in this but that's not true. I was with her at every step. I wouldn't rest until I avenge her.
