Chapter 128: The Arrival of Vegeta and Nappa

Two single-pod spherical spaceships streaked through the solar system like meteors, leaving glowing trails behind them.
In just a few heartbeats, they reached Earth and tore through its atmosphere.
Friction between the pods and the atmosphere produced intense heat, making them appear like two massive fireballs falling from the sky.
"They're here…" On King Kai's planet, King Kai clenched his fists tightly. The two antennae hanging from his head trembled violently.
"Why are they already here…? My calculations weren't wrong!!" Sweat poured down King Kai's forehead like a waterfall. He turned to look at the group still practicing punches and kicks.
"You've got to go back now… They're here! They're already here!"
"Huh?" Goku, sparring with Tien, stopped mid-punch and landed on the ground. "What's here?"

A thunderous explosion rocked the land as Vegeta and Nappa's ships landed simultaneously in East City.
The once-flat ground now bore two enormous, bottomless craters.
Terrified civilians screamed, tall buildings collapsed, and spiderweb-like cracks spread across the ground.
Cars crashed into each other from the shock, and panicked crowds scattered in all directions.
"What's going on…? Did a meteor just fall?"
"What the hell happened?"
"This is terrifying…" A scrawny man with a briefcase tucked under his arm peered nervously into one of the craters.
"Hey, you guys, come look… That's not a meteor. It looks like… a spaceship? A spaceship from outer space!"
Just as he said that, Vegeta and Nappa opened the hatches of their spherical pods and slowly floated upward, looking down at the people below before landing.
Bald-headed Nappa was tall and burly, clad in battle armor. His fierce face and cold, menacing eyes made him look like serious trouble.
Standing next to him, Vegeta looked short in comparison—barely over 160 cm. His appearance wasn't too bad, if you ignored the receding hairline.
Vegeta also wore a vicious expression, making it clear he wasn't someone to mess with.
"They're aliens! They flew out of a spaceship! My god, they're flying without wings!!"
"What are they doing on Earth?!"
"Do they want to take over the planet?"
"Are they going to destroy our civilization and rebuild their own?"
At that moment, everyone snapped to their senses and started running in all directions.
"We're doomed! The aliens are here!"
"So this is Earth? Not bad—pretty bustling," Vegeta said, arms crossed, sweeping a cold gaze across the surroundings.
Watching the fleeing people scream and scatter, Nappa frowned with disgust. "Tch… What a lively spot to pick!"
"Of course. We have to make a proper introduction," he said as a faint glow began to appear at his fingertip.
"Hey… Nappa, I suggest you don't do anything rash!" a voice suddenly came through Nappa's scouter.
It was Raditz.
"I overheard them saying there's a Dragon Ball where you landed!" Raditz continued. Of course, that was a lie.
Vegeta also heard through his scouter. His eyes grew icy as he shot a glare at Nappa. "Stop, Nappa!"
This intel was something Raditz had painstakingly gathered—it was said the Dragon Balls could grant any wish?!
"If you destroy this place, the Dragon Balls will be gone. Then how the hell am I supposed to wish for immortality?" Vegeta demanded coldly.
"S-sorry, Vegeta!" Nappa quickly bowed his towering figure and asked anxiously, "Should we go look for the Dragon Balls now?"
"No rush. As long as they're still on Earth, the Dragon Balls aren't going anywhere," Vegeta said, leaping into the air.
"What matters most now is regrouping with Raditz and finding the guy who knows about Super Saiyans!"
"Whew…" Trailing behind everyone on Snake Way, Raditz let out a quiet sigh of relief upon hearing this.
There was no way he could've known whether Dragon Balls were actually where they landed!
Thankfully, Vegeta and Nappa bought the story.
"Damn it, now that Vegeta and Nappa are here, where the hell is that guy named Lin Qi?!" Raditz felt like he was going crazy.
"Raditz, where are you? Why is there no one strong on this planet?" Vegeta landed first atop a tall building.
"Hahaha… That Raditz guy's scouter must be busted. There's no strong fighter on Earth at all!" Nappa landed behind Vegeta, hands on his hips, laughing wildly. "Maybe this is all just a prank cooked up by Raditz!"
Their scouters weren't showing Raditz's location.
"Half an hour… I'll be there in half an hour. I didn't expect you guys to get here so fast!" Raditz pushed himself to run even faster.
"If you're messing with us, you're going to die painfully…" Vegeta threatened coldly.
A few aircraft appeared in the sky, filled with reporters and cameramen broadcasting live.
But were Vegeta and Nappa the friendly, gentle type? Obviously not.
BOOM
With just a single energy blast, those aircraft exploded mid-air.
"Half an hour, huh… That's kind of long," Nappa said, rubbing his stomach. He turned to Vegeta. "Didn't Raditz say Earth food is really tasty? Wanna check it out?"
"Sure," Vegeta replied, a smirk curling at the corner of his lips. He pointed to a supermarket below. "That place looks like it has food…"
