"Yes, it's me" Katherine answered, her voice chocked with tears.
"Sister Kathy, Sister Kathy. I-I-I..." Kendra said as she 's crying but was incoherent.
Katherine tears was also falling. She displayed to the world how strong and invincible she is only her siblings knows how sensitive and weak she actually is about her emotions.
They hugged and cried for a while then Katherine broke the hug.
"Hey,hey,don't cry, let's not cry, it's a happy occasion alright?" Katherine said wiping her face and trying to smile
"Yes,yes, I also won't cry "Kendra said.
She sat up straight and looked at the room realising she is no longer in that dark and depressing room but in a familiar environment. She looked at the pictures and saw the familiar framed pictures. It dawned on her that she was in Katherine room.
Her eyes stopped at the family photo specifically on Kenneth. She clearly stiffened and Katherine felt it.
"Brother." That single word that left her lips made the joyous atmosphere that was slowly building to shatter.
Katherine also stiffened.
"Kenny..."
"Sister Kathy, where is brother? Kendra asked with anticipation within her brows.
"Kenneth, he..."Katherine couldn't say anything.
"Where is brother, sister Kathy?"
"Don't you remember?"
"Remember what? The last thing I remembered is brother and I went to open the door for you "
"Me?"
"Yes. The doorbell rang but we didn't want to open it. We were going to call you but we heard your voice so we opened the door. That's all I remember "
"Oh,okay. Let me show you something then " Katherine said calmly but her eyes were flashing with a clod glint.
That bastard used my voice to get to them. So ultimately, it's because of me they suffered. Ken died because of me and kendra went through that horrifying experience all because of me. I caused it. I killed my own brother. Katherine was drowning in self hate and became lost in thoughts.
Kendra placed her hands in Katherine own. Feeling the warmth, Katherine cold body warmed up and she snapped out of her thoughts
Katherine stood up and gently helped Kendra down. She then walked to her closet, pressed the button behind the shoes and opened her lab. Her secret room.
Kendra was shocked. She never knew anything like this existed in reality.
Kendra walked In a daze as Katherine led her inside and say her down on a sofa.
Katherine walked to the laptop placed separately on a table and switched it on. Kal voice spread throughout the room.
"Hello K, how's Kendra doing?" She paused as if sensing another body warmth. "Oh, hello Kendra, forgive me for not noticing you there.
