The boys and I met up at our usual spot—everyone except Kira, who'd already gone to his village to prepare for the next day.
Time to hit the shops.
"So, what's first—food or booze?" Derrick asked, already grinning like he knew the answer.
"Food, obviously!" Brian chimed in.
"Nah, you clown," Adrian cut in, adjusting his glasses with that smug air of his. "I already reserved a batch of top-shelf stuff from this lady who runs a tiny stall on Fifth Street. Trust me—just follow my lead."
We all sighed but followed him anyway. He led us past Genzai Innovations, then veered off down a quieter street until we arrived at the stall he'd been hyping up.
And that's when my jaw nearly dropped.
The woman behind the counter was none other than Kira's sister. Judging by the looks on the others' faces—it didn't seem like they even knew she was Kira's sister.
"Hey there…" Adrian greeted her with a casual wave. "You got the fresh batch I asked for?"
