Today. It had to be today. Of all the cursed days on the calendar, the universe chose today to ruin me. And I mean ruin. Emotionally. Physically. Mentally. All thanks to him.
He swooped down from whatever celestial throne he thinks he sits on and has been snapping at me since sunrise. And sure, I get it. I *should* hold it in. That's what I told myself after the incident.The one where he called me just his secretary like I was some disposable Post-it note in a world full of whiteboards. That was the moment I made a pact with myself: stay out of his way, don't rise to the bait, let him play his petty power games alone. Forget the art of war—I was on the path of peace.
But guess what? That resolve lasted a whole five seconds. Because the words just spilled out before I could even slap a weak excuse on them. So cheers to me. Here's to getting fired.
