I couldn't find Bella so I ran to the lobby to find Bianca. She sat in the receptionist's chair under a blanket. I came to the counter. When she saw me she put her book down and smiled without teeth. The glint in her eyes took some of the embarrassment away.
"Hey..."
"Everything okay?"
"Erm... yeah. I was wondering if anything here can cut handcuffs?"
"I don't think so," Her gaze drifted to the desktop. She bit her lip, "Maybe I can ask Moose?"
"I'd rather not."
"Why?"
I paused, biting my lip. Without answering I could see that Bianca understood.
"There's a hardware store not far from here. Just down the street."
I got a sudden bad feeling. It was that feeling I always got when Belle covered for me in some way. I tried to think of any other choice I had but with each option I was met with a reason to just go to the hardware store.
"Alright. I'll make a trip. Thanks."
