Chapter 2 - chapter 2

Pov 3rd person

After stopping with his second dance the swordsman decided to move to the river on the far side of the clearing. Deciding the river bank was close enough he raised his sword and started flowing through each form of water breathing.

Each subsequent form made the river thrash and buck wildly, the current getting more and more violent until the man reached the final form.

"Water breathing - 11 form dead calm" with an almost gentle movement the man forced the surface of the whole river to calm but allowed the currents underneath to keep their violent movement.

Although the ripple that was cast faded the forced calm continued uninterrupted for the entire length of the river both up and down.

The man didn't seem to notice his incredible feat and moved onto the next styles. Each style used seem to interact with different the world only after the swordsman pass the realm of mortal ability.

The different breathing styles gave worship to many of the animals surrounding the man for instance the breath of the stone gave unbelievable amounts of belief to the small hive of oddly coloured bees.

While the breath of the flame gave more worship than the donkey had ever received in her entire immortal life so far. The breath of the wind and thunder breathing gave quite a bit of worship to the prideful eagle make, the fact the eagle seemed to get to sword dances instead of one make the bird particularly smug.

The white dove that seemed quite unimpressed with the whole ordeal snapped to attention when the swordsman started using love breathing, she was quite impressed that someone managed to make an inherently unloving thing like a sword style so full of some of the most pure love the dove had ever felt both familial and romantically without any sexual or obsessive.

The vulture found interest in all of the styles each one made with the intent for it to kill, it wasn't quite sure what they were made to kill but by the complexity and difference in each one the intended target would have to exceed the users own physical ability.

Until finally the swordsman seemed to move onto to the last breathing style.

"I have really completed this one yet but I'll give it a go anyway" the man muttered to himself before transitioning into a stance that was noticeablely different from the rest of the other sword styles.

This style stated with the man moving his unsheathed sword Infront of him with with one hand and taking his sheath into his other with a relaxed stance and closed eyes.

With a hissing exhale the man lazily swung the sheath the simple action sent a visible ripple in the air, the moment the ripple touched the closest tree nothing happened for a while before the leaves brighted and the flowers bloomed.

Anything the ripples of the unnamed style touched the world around it seemed to liven up grass grew greener, trees brightened and flowers bloomed.

The animals that the ripple touched relaxed and healed any injury or scar they may of had. After a while after swinging his sheath the man changed to swing his sword and the ripples seemed to invert while not unnatural they looked unfriendly to anything alive pulling the life from all it touched.

Although the man still had his eyes closed he seemed to know where all the living things around him were the inverted ripples not touching anything all of them passing unobstructed either over the trees or into the barren ground his actions had caused.

Finally the man slowed and came to a stop opening his eyes that seemed to pulse with light of all shades of red the man whispered the name of his own personal swordstyle.

"Breath of the world - 1st form, life cycle" having named his first form the man was satisfied with his work. Sheathing his sword and placing it back on his hip he clasped his hands and bowed deeply.

"Thank you everyone" as he spoke flickers of light seemed to materialised around him without his notice they each placed their hands on his back with the hand in the centre belonging to a man with seemingly 6 eyes.

With his prayer done the man opened his eyes and unclasped his hands. taking a deep breath and realising it he smiled brightly with more emotion than the surrounding animals had seen him have over the whole time they had been watching him.

Turing to the fadding lights behind him he gave the closest one a hug, "goodbye elder brother" letting go of the man he waved slightly to all of the rest "and goodbye to you all." With their peace done the lights faded to nothing leaving a lone man in a clearing with only his thoughts.
