As the sun beamed down upon the battered city of Haven Point, its golden light revealed a city still standing—but just barely. Then came the haunting sound: loud warhorns beyond the walls. A scout on the watchtower screamed, "They are here! They are here!"
Panic surged momentarily—but it was quickly channeled into purpose. Captain Haide, already in armor, barked orders with sharp resolve. "Archers! On the walltops! Reinforce the gate! Cavalries prepare behind the front ranks!"
Down at the staging grounds behind the gates, Haide approached Espada and Elric.
"The Grimknights have done more than enough for the royal army," she said, voice solemn but steady. "This will be our last stand. You two need not throw yourselves into this desperate final charge."
She bowed low. "On behalf of the royal army... thank you."
"No!" Espada retorted immediately, stepping forward. "We will fight till the end."
Elric gently held her back, whispering, "Respect the Captain's wish."
