Chapter 33 - [32]

What does a person do when they're sad? Depressed?

Some would go to therapy. Some would go outside for a walk. Some would go shopping. Some would go to their friends, maybe... ask for advice?

But Angel — she's just been sitting on the couch, hugging her legs and staring at nothing for hours now.

Slowly, Angel moved her eyes to look at the time display on her phone... it's 1 PM. She skipped lunch. She didn't even notice.

「I don't think I'm hungry either...」

she thought, glancing at the window where the sunlight poured in — warm, bright, almost indifferent.

It's been weeks — heck, maybe a month — since she turned into a young woman, yet she's done nothing noteworthy.

Even if this were a slice-of-life light novel, this would definitely bore readers, right?

Angel sighed, her gaze drifting to the ceiling, lost in thought.

「Why am I even catering to people who wouldn't give a damn about my life? Nobody would wanna read my light novel even if I published it」

She's written so many light novels. Every single one? Flops. No views, no nothing.

At this point, maybe it's really better to just quit and take another path... Maybe her papa and mama were right. Maybe she should just go to college... maybe she'd learn something new?

But at the same time... going back to school feels daunting. Terrifying, even. It's not like she has to go back.

Angel hugged her legs tighter, her stare falling back to the ground.

「Perhaps it's really time to get serious」

Angel sighed again.

Reluctantly, she picked up her phone and opened her notes app...

"Wait..."

Angel's eyes widened.

"Where the fuck did my synopsis and title go?"

Frantic, she flipped through every note — but it wasn't there. What the fuck? She was sure she saved it. Sure!

"This hasn't happened before. I mean, I never delete files on accident!"

Angel grabbed both sides of her head.

"Man, what the hell... Now I gotta redo my light novel..."

She scratched her head, frustration bubbling up.

Why is this happening?

Is the universe mad at her?

She didn't know. But it felt like someone just dropped a huge boulder in front of her and said, "Move it, or rot."

At this point, what else could she do? She could only sigh — again.

"Alright, fine... Since it's come to this, the title's gonna be—"

Angel began typing on her phone.

「Finding my voice in her skin」

She stared at the title in the notes app, and somehow... it clicked. The name was a little weird, sure, but not entirely wrong either.

It was unapologetically hers.

「Now for my synopsis...」

Angel continued typing, tapping away at the screen. Forty minutes later, she was done. It was easy, honestly. Like writing a bibliography or some shit.

No research needed — the protagonist was her. She knew her own birthday, her name, where she came from.

She basically just wrote an introduction: who she was, what she would become. How she lived as a man and suddenly turned into a beautiful young woman.

Aside from that...

「Who was that person, anyways?」

Maybe because it had been a couple chapters — weeks — ago... she had almost forgotten about the feminine voice she heard in that dream.

「Well, whoever that entity was... I'm grateful」

Angel nodded to herself.

Maybe, if fate allowed it, she'd thank that entity someday. But for now? She had things to do.

She had a future to grab by the throat.

Angel huffed, looking at her phone.

「It's time to write Chapter 0」

The way Angel wrote her Chapter 0 was simple — a prologue. Nothing fancy.

"It shouldn't be hard," she muttered as she began typing.

There were so many instances of her life to start from. The day she was born? Her elementary school days? High school?

So many options.

But thinking about it — maybe starting right at a conflict would be better. That's how her life usually went anyway.

Plus, drama at the beginning? A solid hook for readers. Nothing could go wrong with that.

She kept writing, remembering her fight with her papa, the way her mom tried to mediate...

Looking back, it would definitely paint her as unfilial. It was almost embarrassing.

After an hour, Angel checked the word count.

「1.2k words... that'll do」

Writing more than that felt like a chore. Keeping chapters around 1k was more efficient. If she wanted to write more, she'd just add "parts."

Besides, she wasn't the type to drag a chapter. That shit's boring and tedious.

And now that Chapter 0 was done? All that was left was to publish it.

Angel opened her website, selected the right tags for her light novel, and hit "Publish."

She looked at her newly published story with a small, hopeful smile.

「Hopefully... this will work out」

The silver-haired beauty couldn't help but dream.
