Have a good dayđđ
****
It had been a month since Akashi and Kana had arrived in Konoha and things had quickly changed during that time
The citizens of Konoha, like always, were going about their business under the protection of their powerful ninjas and Kage.
Yet today, like every day since about four days ago, a certain tension had enveloped the village hidden in the leaves.Â
It was when the village learned about the massive attack on Uzushiogakure, their closest ally, who had fought wars with them, had been launched by the four great ninjas villages.
But Uzushiogakure wasn't the only village to be attacked, no.Â
Konoha, who was sure that the war was soon to end with their victory, was also under attack. It was obvious that the reason for those attacks was to stop Konoha from helping their long-time allies.Â
'Those attacks are useless, really.' Akashi mused as he walked into the Uchiha compound. Akashi was making his way toward his grandfather's estate, the residence of elder Mikami.
He knew that the reason the four villages were attacking Konoha was to prevent them from coming to the rescue of Uzushio, but he knew that, in truth, Konoha had no intention of aiding Uzushio.
His mother, Kana, had left Konoha well before the attack began after leaving her special clones in Konoha, of course.
It was actually in the Senju compound supervising the training of five of his clones, but it was mostly to protect him.
Before she left, she had informed Hiruzen the Hokage of the imminent attack on Uzushio and formally requested support from Konoha.
She didn't really have any illusion that Konoha would accept due to the vision of Akashi, but she still had to try it as it would massively facilitate her plans.
She knew that the moment Akashi had his prediction, and they left the village, they had already changed the future, so why not go all out?
The monkey had initially accepted, citing the deep friendship between their village, but it quickly became apparent with the multiple excuses that he came up with that he had no intention to help Uzushio.
Even now, if they really wanted to, Konoha had ways to come to the help of Uzushiogakure, but they simply wouldn't, and those attacks gave them another reasonable excuse not to move.
Initially, Kana and Akashi thought that the desire to see Uzushiogakure destroyed came only from Danzo Shimura and maybe a few other high-ranking individuals, but now they were well aware that Hiruzen the Hokage was well aware of his friend's actions.
"Hello there little Akashi. How are you? Back to see your grandfather, it's good to see that you get along so well."Â
"Good morning aunty Ming, I'm fine thanks. Huh, yes, I suppose we are. I won't stay long in Konoha so I need to take advantage of my time here,"
"So you will leave us soon, how unfortunate. Are you sure you must leave? This isn't safe outside."
"Ha, Mr Ming good morning to you, well, it's what we had planned but with the situation in Uzushiogakure I don't know maybe things will change,"
After a short discussing with the old couple Akashi left.
He didn't hide the fact that he would soon leave Konoha as it had never been a secret. People had had their eyes on him since the first day he arrived here, and it worsened since the attacks began.
He could feel the gaze of everyone on him some looked at him with pity, some were completely indifferent.
Others were hovering around him like vulture it took a while for him to realized what they wanted but soon he did those creep were hoping to see and feel the pain caused by the attacks on Uzushiogakure even though he never met them.
Unfortunately, the only thing they saw were his indifference after all Akashi was never really part of Uzushio, he had been excluded since he was a kid.
He had to admit that he was having a good time in Konoha but in the end the only person he really cared about was his mother so he had no problem ignored those people taunts.
"Hello there Grandpa," Akashi shouted enthusiastically when he arrived in front of the Uchiha elder "What are you going to teach me today, the Uchiha shuriken jutsu, the flowing sword style, or your famous fire style," Akashi asked his eyes glimmering with interest as he took in the appearance of his grumpy grandfather.
For weeks now, the Akashi had been welcome in the Uchiha compound, where he was guided by the old Mikami in the practice of their clan.
Mikami looked at the kid in front of him, his grandson with mixt emotion before turning around
"This is Elder Mikami for you, kid. Do not make me regret those training sessions," he said as he entered the room.
Akashi wasn't bothered and just followed after his grandfather inside; he was used to how grumpy the old man was by now.
Sitting down the old man retrieved a little dusty scrollÂ
"This is what we are going to do today," he said giving the scroll to AkashiÂ
"I have already taught you the basis of shuriken jutsu and the Uchiha swordsmanship; you should have some of my son's notes and techniques, they will help you later; for now, we will focus on your sharingan."Â
After the time they spent together the old man ended up learning about Akashi's sharingan.
Akashi still remembered the expression of utter disbelief when he realized that a four-year-old kid had awakened the Sharingan, something that most ninjas in their clan never realized; he started to take the training of Akashi a little more seriously after that.
Activating his Sharingan, Akashi quickly skimmed through the scroll.
He had to admit that those eyes were really practical; in a minute, he was done reviewing and had memorized the content of the scroll.
"Done," he said giving the scroll back to the old man.
"Did you memorize it?"Â
"Yes, I did. But I didn't understand everything," Akashi nodded.Â
He was pretty surprised by what he saw in that old, worn-out scroll.
It could be said that that scroll was the utilization manual for the Sharingan.Â
It gave a detailed version of how to use the Sharingan.
When a Uchiha obtains his Sharingan, he also obtains an instinctive understanding of how to use it, as the Sharingan is tailor-made for its user. It enhances its wielder's strong point. For some people, it's an illusion; for others, copy, etcâŠ
They will then focus and train it relentlessly. After all, once you awaken your Sharingan, they will be sent to complete the more difficult missions; this is how they survived in the ninja world.
This is why people in the original work, like Itachi, were so overwhelmingly good in their chosen field.
But at the same time very few even have the time or the interest to understand how to use the others abilities of their sharingans but it didn't mean that they didn't have those others abilities in them.
This scroll, however, gives a detailed explanation of how to train all the abilities in reading the chakra of their opponents, copying their jutsu, predicting their moves, and even weaving illusions. Not simply casting illusions by instinct but creating them.
"It's natural, it's not because you can see what is written that you can automatically understand it, the Sharingan is powerful but not all-powerful,"
With that, he made the scroll disappear as swiftly as he made it appear.
"Why did you show it to me,"
Akashi, with his eyes serious and focused, devoided his usual playfulness and asked his grandfather. After all, the scroll that the old man just showed him was something that even some of the most powerful members of the clan would desire; it could be counted as a legacy of the clan without any trouble.
"What do you mean?"
"You told me very clearly that you didn't recognize me, and you clearly don't like me very much, so why show me something so precious,"
The old Mikami looked at the serious expression on the little kid, who could be considered a baby by his standards, holding his gaze for a few seconds.
A strange glint appeared in the eyes of the old man as he observed Akashi.
"Are you using your mind's eyes to determine that?"
The silence that ensued was all the answer the old man needed.
"How about now."Â
Akashi's eyes flickered as he felt the emotion of his grandfather change in front of his eyes from indifference to love,
Akashi's eyes widen in surprisedÂ
"How? You can manipulate your emotions?" he asked the disbelief etched in his tone.
"Maybe I will teach it to you one day, but to answer your question, I do not hate or dislike you, but I do not love you eitherâŠ"
"Is it because of what happened to my father?" He asked directly. He had learned the story of his parents not long ago, but it helped him understand many things about ninjas and about himself too, as he couldn't help but want to know more about that father that he had never met and until very recently was never interested in.
"Yes⊠Even though I understand that it was his own choices and decisions that led to his death, I can't help but resent your mother. And the fact that you took more of your mother's appearance doesn't help."Â
Silence enveloped the room as the old man openly talked about such a heavy topic with a kid.
"The reason I am teaching you that is because you are a Uchiha; even if I don't acknowledge you, your name is already in the register of the family as a member of the clan; your father had made sure of it well before your birth."
Akashi wasn't surprised by it as he was already informed of it, plus in the ninjas world it was quite common for a ninja to conceive a child outside and later on bring him to his clan, all he really needed to do was to make sure that he possesses the signature technique of the clan and after a few test the kid is name is place on a secrets scrolls with all the members of the clans.
Contrary to what the anime portrayed most ninjas tended to have children out of marriage, for men and women.Â
The truth is that most ninjas do not marry their fellow kunoichi. After all, a lot of kunoichi are sent on seduction missions and other missions where they have to use their bodies to ensnare their victims, and it includes having sex with them before ultimately killing them.
Most ninjas didn't have time for relationships and frequented places like the red light district; this is the ugly truth of the ninja world.
"Let's go back to the training!" The old man said but Akashi interrupted him
"How was he? My father! What kind of person was he? My father, I mean mom, talks about him, butâŠ"Â
The old man looked at him for a few seconds as if to evaluate him.
When Akashi was about to retract what he said old Mikami finally spoke
"Alright, but how about I just show you, it will be your first-hand experience on how to weave a genjutsu,"
With that, the eyes of the old man transformed into blazing three magatama.Â
In an instant, the world in front of Akashi shifted, and in front of him, an incredibly complex tapestry appeared before shifting into a scene where a vibrant and handsome dark-haired man appeared in front of him.
That day, Akshi not only saw his father for the first time but he was also introduced to a whole new world.
