Leonard stepped out onto the marble floors of his private gym, a white robe loosely tied around his waist. Beads of water clung to his chest from the swim he'd just taken. He enjoyed his time in the water, taking sips from his vodka bottle enjoying the sun as he pleases.
The workout had been light, just enough to warm his muscles and clear his mind. He'd needed clarity; it always came when he was submerged, weightless, far from the noise of the world, when no one disturbed his existence.
But clarity today came in another form: a plan.
He dried his hands with a towel as King entered the gym, already dressed in dark sweats, ready to spar or receive orders: whichever the boss preferred. Leonard didn't speak right away. He adjusted a few weights on the rack, stalling, calculating, King stared and waited as he stared at Leonard, he wanted what Leonard had, the money, the fame, and even the wife.
