Kranesighed as he looked at the unconscious Kommo-o, silently recalling it to its Poké Ball. Only now did he understand the true meaning of his elder's earlier words.
"Krane, even if you take my Kommo-o with you, it won't make a difference. A disobedient Elite facing an obedient Elite yields different results. Did you really think petty tricks would work? Trust me, they have plenty of ways to deal with you."
Now Kranetruly understood what it meant to be "dealt with." Damn it, Karen had actually found a monster to help her. This Ash guy could probably defeat even Karen herself.
Kraneknew. Nothing he could say now would make a difference.
Leaving was the best way to save face.
"This battle taught me a lot. Thank you, Karen and Ash."
Hearing Krane's words, Karen waved her hand and said, "Ah, don't mention it. Just remember to keep improving your skills."
Ash also took off his mask and said, "Stop playing tricks—there are plenty of people who can deal with you."

As Kraneleft with his group, Karen broke into a smile. She wrapped an arm around Ash and called out to the side, "Dad, are you satisfied now?"
Then, to everyone's bewilderment,
a silver-haired middle-aged man and a woman walked out with a group of people. That man was someone Ash recognized—Karen's father Lizen and her mother Amy.
After approaching, Lizen looked at Ash and finally sighed, saying, "You must have noticed..."
"Oh, Uncle, long time no see. So I passed the test?"
"Exactly. Being able to reach Legendary-level strength after Mega Evolution - no one would be foolish enough to reject that.
Glancing at the quietly trotting Mega Absol at Ash's feet,
Lizen felt deeply shocked. Though he knew a few people who could achieve this, they were all old monsters who'd accumulated power over long periods - and with plenty of hidden injuries too. But Ash was so young! This Absol didn't have any hidden injuries whatsoever.
"All four of you, come with me. Ash, your other fiancées should come too. I'll have someone look after your little brother."
"Okay."
"To be honest, I was actually against this matter."
In the reception room of the Second Cave, Lizen was looking at Ash, Misty, Suzy,
along with Lyn and Karen, he spoke these words. And Ash understood exactly why.
"Ash, you brat, you're just like your old reputation—a complete wolf! I know you've got quite a few fiancées. And this little Rebecca here was definitely someone you 'conquered' during your travels, wasn't she?"
Hearing Lizen's words, Ash smiled faintly before meeting his gaze squarely and said, "Father-in-law, I've told you before—I'm a scoundrel. I won't let go of good women like them. If I did, I'd be the biggest idiot. Besides, I can afford to take care of them."
"...Damn it. I really don't like the idea of marrying my daughter to you, you brat. Speak! You—
were running around causing mischief with Karen before, was that all just to...?"

With a thwack of a stick on Lizen's head, the patriarch of the Li family slumped onto the table. The one who delivered the blow was none other than his wife, Amy.
"Endless nonsense without getting to the point. Fine, let this idiot stay knocked out for a while—as if he didn't have his own harem back in the day."
Watching her mother knock out her father with a single move, Karen acted as if she hadn't seen a thing—and Ash could finally understand exactly which parent her personality took after. With her father now unconscious, Karen had no choice but to turn to her mother and ask, "So Mom, what exactly did you call us here for?"
"Oh, it's nothing really, just letting Ash's family know about the engagement. You can't have an engagement without telling the family."
"Ugh... Dad's rambling on and on without getting to the point—"
Watching her dad, Karen felt that her mom's whack was totally deserved.
