Kael's mind exploded the moment he heard that Lyria had been kidnapped. His breath hitched as his gaze darkened completely.
"Was she the only one?" he asked, his voice rough and cold, laced with a killing intent so thick it felt like a storm pressing down on everyone. "Or was there anyone else?"
The pressure coming off Kael made the room feel like it was collapsing in. Gabriel's brows twitched, his mouth slightly open in hesitation. He looked at Martina, unsure. Martina gave him a small nod, telling him to speak.
"It's… only her," Gabriel said at last.
