The dungeons of Asgard were growing loud and chaotic.
Crashes echoed from the distance shattering sounds, wails, and screams.
Something powerful was tearing its way through the prison, and both Thor and Kagura Hitomi tensed up instinctively.
"Good luck, my dear brother and sister," Loki said nonchalantly.
Honestly, he looked more amused than concerned, he probably wanted to see Asgard in chaos and Odin pulling his hair out.
But just as Kagura turned to leave, Loki surprised her by adding one last line.
"Don't die too easily, Kagura Hitomi. I fully intend to be the one to kill you myself after all the times you've disrespected me."
"Tch, relax! A cute girl like me isn't going down that easily!" She was stunned at first but smirked as she replied.
Yup, textbook tsundere.
No doubt about it, Asgard's very own adorable tsundere prince, Loki.
The noise from the upper levels was getting louder and closer, and Kagura could now finally make out what was coming their way.
It was a massive, muscular man in black armor, wearing a helmet with horns like a bull.
He was bulldozing through the Asgardian guards like they were nothing.
Crushing, killing, and then casually tearing open cell barriers to release more prisoners, creating a growing mob headed straight toward them.
Her holographic UI flickered to life, scanning the threat ahead and flashing relevant intel across her vision.
Even without Cortana or backup from Rhodes Island Industries, her autonomous combat scanner still came in clutch.
[Target: Mutated Dark Elf Warrior — Threat Level: HIGH]
[Chance of breaking through 'White Moon' Combat Suit: 78.2%]
[Status: Hostile]
So this was the infamous Dark Elf Curse Warrior, the one stirring up all the chaos.
Curse Warriors.
Created through ancient Dark Elf rituals, these super-soldiers drew power from the Reality Stone, Aether.
In Dark Elf terms, they were something like their version of Captain America... or the Winter Soldier.
Not only were Curse Warriors freakishly strong, but their durability was insane. Practically unstoppable.
They could also absorb life force like the Aether itself, siphoning energy from others to fuel their endless rampage, turning themselves into walking war machines.
Thor and Kagura exchanged a glance, unspoken but perfectly in sync.
Time to take this guy down.
"White Moon Combat Suit—battle mode, activate!"
[Target locked.]
[Vibranium Blade—engaged.]
[Charged Omni-Mobility System: ONLINE]
'BOOM!'
With a thunderous shockwave behind her, Kagura launched forward like a silver bolt of lightning, cutting through the dungeon air with a piercing roar.
She was the moonlight that cleaved through the storm.
Her charge was dazzling, a sharpened streak of silver fury aimed right for the heart of the rampaging beast.
The charged mobility system gave her unmatched speed, letting her ignore gravity and terrain during its activation.
The Curse Warrior noticed her approach and braced for combat.
But Kagura didn't flinch.
She sprinted along the dungeon wall, slicing through prisoners who dared to follow the warrior into rebellion, her vibranium blade leaving trails of blood in her wake as she accelerated.
'Zzzrrm!'
She flashed past.
Her blade cut the air with a blinding white arc, aiming to slice the Curse Warrior clean in two.
'CLANG!'
The impact rang out, shattering nearby energy shields with its sheer force.
'Creak… creak…!'
A shocking sight.
The Curse Warrior caught her blade barehanded. Black blood dripped from his palm—but that was all.
Her lightning-fast strike had been completely halted.
He held the unbreakable vibranium blade in his hand like it was nothing.
This guy was on a different level.
"Tch… Interesting."
Kagura narrowed her eyes and gripped the blade tighter. Her core reactor pulsed again.
[Directed High-Energy Electromagnetic Pulse: ONLINE]
'CRACKLE!'
Sparks of wild electricity exploded from the blade. Even the Curse Warrior flinched, instinctively letting go.
'Now!'
Kagura seized the moment, dipped low, and slashed upward with a full-powered swing.
'BOOOM!'
A deafening roar followed, electric arcs and high-energy particles erupted from her blade like a storm.
For a moment, the world turned black and white.
She looked like a silver-haired goddess of thunder, her sword releasing furious electric arcs that lit up the battlefield.
The electromagnetic pulse carved a glowing trench through the dungeon, like a blade made of pure destruction.
The Curse Warrior was forced back, staggered under the pressure.
When the dust cleared, Kagura crouched into a defensive stance, eyes locked forward.
The dungeon looked like it had been split in two by her strike. The floor crackled with heat, glowing red with the scent of scorched stone.
"You… are strong," the Curse Warrior growled, rising slowly. "You carry the Aether within you."
"Tch, so you noticed."
Kagura clicked her tongue.
Dark Elves had a natural affinity for tracking the Aether. In the original MCU, they had zero trouble tracking Jane Foster all the way to Asgard.
Even with the Aether sealed within her reactor, they could still sense it.
"Yeah, the Aether you're all so obsessed with? It's sealed inside me now."
She raised her blade. "Come and get it, then!"
"RAAAHHHH!"
The Curse Warrior charged like a living avalanche.
"Don't touch my little sister!"
Thor finally finished clearing his side of the dungeon. He leapt into the air, swung Mjölnir with fury, and brought it crashing down between Kagura and the Curse Warrior.
'BOOOOM!'
Lightning exploded across the chamber as Mjölnir channeled Thor's divine power into a brutal surge.
But the Curse Warrior didn't even flinch.
He raised a hand and slapped Mjölnir out of Thor's grasp like swatting a fly.
"WHAT?!"
Thor stared at his empty hand in disbelief. "You've gotta be kidding me—"
'THUD!'
Before he could finish, the Curse Warrior decked him with a punch that flattened the Asgardian prince to the floor.
"Don't get cocky!"
Kagura charged again, slashing low at the warrior's legs.
Her blade hit home and black blood sprayed. A solid hit.
But the battle was far from over.
The Curse Warrior turned, gritting through the pain, and threw another punch.
Kagura twisted her body, dodging like a dancer, then spun her blade in a flurry aimed straight for his heart.
'CRACK!'
The vibranium edge drove deep into the Curse Warrior's chest, finally stopping his rampage.
"Did you really think this was over?" he hissed. "I am invincible. Long live the Dark Elves!"
With a sudden surge, he grabbed Kagura by the shoulder, his eyes glowing blood-red.
[WARNING: Core Reactor Energy Critically Low]
[Remaining Energy: 19%]
"Let go of me!"
She struggled, but his strength was overwhelming. Even enhanced by the White Moon combat suit, she couldn't break free.
Then a scarlet energy began to pour out from her body.
"?!"
The Curse Warrior froze, but too late.
'BOOOOOM!'
A blinding explosion of crimson tore through the dungeon.
The shockwave obliterated everything walls, enemies, and half the prison.
The Curse Warrior was launched like a ragdoll, crashing through Loki's cell and ripping through the energy barrier like tissue paper.
Yeah… this deluxe dungeon was definitely going to need some serious renovations.
