Adam pushed off the tree with a soft grunt, the bark leaving flakes on the back of his coat. The miasma in the environment was starting to fade as the mist was almost cleared up.
He dragged a hand through his hair as he made his way to Clara and Keira.
"Alright."
He muttered to himself, stretching his arms behind his back.
"Time to go meet me, big sis, although I will inform the others of their arrival."
The walk back wasn't long, but it gave him a moment to breathe, to watch the sky above start to change from green to red. The monster world had a weird way of being beautiful and deeply unsettling at the same time.
