Chapter 349 - Post-Goaliath Realm Conquest

[Samuel's POV ]

As the shadowed realm of Goaliath crumbled behind me, the ash and molten wind swirling at my back, I stood tall beneath a broken sky. The air still hummed with the echoes of divine wrath—but it was over.

With a breath that carried the weight of shattered chains and slain tyrants, I murmured:

"System, show me my status window."

And like a whisper from fate itself, the screen flickered into view.

I smirked.

"Well Roselle, couldn't let me go, huh?"

My eyes flickered, the violet glow intensifying.

"Let's see what happens when I break the system like you did."

The path ahead wasn't just one of conquest now.

It was retribution.

It was freedom.

And it was war—on the very fabric of the divine.

Roselle's POV

The darkness around me pulsed in tune with Samuel's rising strength.

A slow, knowing smirk curled across my lips as I stood at the heart of the Shadowfold Citadel—my domain, my throne, the very nerve center of a dying divinity. My crimson gaze was locked on the glowing projection of Samuel's status window, his white-silver hair cascading like a crown of fallen stars, his violet eyes blazing with divine wrath.

"So… you're finally becoming the man the realms fear,"

I murmured to myself.

Turning to my ever-loyal Kaisel, I gave the order coldly, without emotion.

"Bring her here."

Kaisel bowed and vanished into a thin fracture of shadow. A portal rippled open like tearing silk, and through it was dragged Abigail Bardot—once a vision of power and ambition, now nothing more than a shadow of her former self. Torn dress. Dirt-smeared face. The fire in her eyes dimmed, though not completely dead.

Samuel's wife on paper.

Her gaze locked with mine. Hatred. Regret. Broken pride. Delicious.

"So, cheating wife," I purred, descending from my throne. "How does it feel… to be ruined by your own karma?"

She snarled, still clinging to whatever pathetic remnants of resistance she had.

"Roselle! Why did you do it?! Bardot Industries was my parents' legacy, and you burned it to dust!"

My smile widened as I lifted a finger—and without hesitation, telekinesis wrapped around her throat like a serpent. She gasped, feet lifting inches above the ground.

"You humiliated your husband," I spat, my voice rising with venom.

"You cheated on him—again and again—and then you brought your filthy toys into your marital bed, just to crush the man who gave you everything!"

I released her throat just enough for her to choke out a defense.

"It was Samuel's fault! He left me when I was at my lowest! I—I only wanted him to suffer!"

I slapped her with a wave of psychic force, and she crumpled to her knees, gasping. The weight of my fury—and her lies—pressed into her chest.

"You don't even know why he left, do you? You never cared enough to ask. You just wanted to destroy what you thought you owned."

I raised my hand again. A massive holographic screen flickered to life behind me.

And there he was.

Samuel Gebb.

No longer the broken, scorned husband.

Now the Dark Knight.

A living embodiment of awakened vengeance, standing at the edge of reality like a blade ready to fall.

"Samuel Gebb," I said coldly, "Abyss King. Void-Walker. Ruler of Ebonreach. His power is beyond what you can comprehend now."

Abigail stared at the screen in disbelief, her breath catching as she saw the glowing violet eyes, the aura that fractured space around him.

"No… it can't be… he must be broken! He was supposed to be broken!!"

I clenched my fingers—and choked her again.

"He's rising," I hissed. "And that, Abigail, is your punishment. To see the man you thought you ruined become the nightmare that gods whisper about."

But I wasn't done yet.

I stepped closer, eyes glowing with crimson wrath and dark hunger. My voice lowered to a cruel whisper.

"And I have a more thrilling punishment for you…"

She looked up, shaking, her lip trembling.

"I need an heir to my throne. And Samuel…"

I smiled darkly.

"Samuel is the perfect Primordial to sire one. His blood… his essence… will be divine."

I let the words hang, sweet and poisonous.

"Maybe, if you're obedient, I'll make you the nanny of my child. A slave to the legacy of the very man you spat on."

Abigail's eyes widened. The idea horrified her. Good.

I turned to Kaisel, the smirk returning as I waved her away like trash.

"Put her in the dungeon again. Make sure she rots properly this time. Starve the pride out of her."

Kaisel bowed again and dragged her away, her screams echoing across the obsidian throne hall.

I sat back down slowly, the throne shifting around me like breathing shadows.

"Samuel," I whispered to the screen, tracing his image with a single crimson-painted nail.

"Let's see how far you can ascend… before even the System breaks at your feet."

And in that moment, as stars trembled in the void—

—I knew this war of divinities had only just begun.
