(Kael POV)
I couldn't tell if Brady didn't realize how close I was to losing it, or if he just didn't care. Either way, he said everything he could think of to get under my skin. He claimed he was there "to protect Astrid" and "to save her" from me. He also wouldn't stop bringing up the past, reminding me of my mistakes and insisting I didn't deserve her.
Part of me agreed with him. A bigger part of me wanted to kill him. So I mostly kept quiet and let him vent. My silence just seemed to make him angrier.
Then, when Brady finally noticed all the candles and roses laid out everywhere, he really lost his sh&t. His face was redder than his hair as he tried to attack me, yelling that I was trying to exploit the dangerous situation to "seduce Astrid."
"Tell him that we've already seduced Astrid. Many, many times," Luke begged through our link.
"Shut up, Wolf," I replied, dodging one of Brady's punches. "You know Astrid would be pissed if we told him that."
