Chapter 63 - Bronya: I'm a Robot Girl Who Can Summon Personas?

Personas are the power of the heart.

As long as something possesses a heart—not just humans, but even cats, dogs, or even robots—it can awaken its own Persona.

If Ren remembered correctly, there was indeed a female robot character in the story of Persona 3 who could use a Persona.

Unfortunately, Ren had deliberately kept his mind "unspoiled" by P3 gameplay in anticipation of the P3 Reload remake. His knowledge of P3's plot and settings mostly came passively from browsing online forums, leaving his recollections frustratingly vague and fragmented.

"Could it be... you were sent by that organization?"

Ren frowned, suddenly regretting not playing P3P or P3F before he got isekai'd.

He tried to recall the name of the organization in P3 that had the technology to develop female robots capable of using Persona powers. Was it... the Shadow Operatives? Or the [Something] Lab?

The characters in P3 seemed to be able to use their Personas directly in the real world, and they were backed by a large organization that researched Shadows and Personas.

Ren had gotten a little carried away yesterday after obtaining Jizo Mitama and mastering the ability to summon Personas in reality. His practice session out in the suburbs might have been a bit too flashy.

If such an organization truly existed, maybe they had detected the Persona wavelengths Ren emitted during his training and pinpointed his location.

But shouldn't their first move upon finding a wild Persona user be a friendly approach, an attempt to recruit him?

Why would this shady organization immediately send a robot girl assassin to eliminate a newly awakened Persona user like himself?

"Bronya has no need to answer your questions. Project Bunny, remove fire control system limiters!"

Bronya paid no mind to the unfamiliar term "Persona" that Ren used, nor his mistaken belief that she was a robot.

However, when Ren cryptically mentioned "that organization," Bronya's normally placid grey eyes, like icy pools, flickered sharply.

This person was highly likely connected to Schicksal. If her identity as an Anti-Entropy member was revealed, the plan about to unfold in Nagazora City would almost certainly be compromised, perhaps even grinding to an impossible halt.

After all, the plan—sacrificing the entire city's population, artificially triggering the Third Honkai Eruption in Nagazora City to birth the Herrscher of Thunder—was monstrous, creating an enemy of all humanity.

Any organization with even a shred of humanity would do everything in its power to stop Cocolia's utterly inhumane, terrorist-like scheme.

Forget Schicksal, world-renowned for its humanitarian efforts and its creed to fight for a better world.

Even other Anti-Entropy Executors, if they knew about Cocolia's plan, would try to interfere.

If the Sovereign of Anti-Entropy found out, Cocolia could basically call GG right then and there. She'd be forced into prison, and the plan—the one that held the potential to rescue Seele from the Sea of Quanta—would be completely shut down.

Therefore, the moment Ren showed signs of guessing her origins...

Bronya's resolve to eliminate the target, Ren Amamiya, became instantly firmer, more decisive.

Using the power of her leg exoskeletons, Bronya's small form slowly floated up from the deep crater.

The imposing silver-white mechanical humanoid, Project Bunny, hovered behind her. Following Bronya's command—a wave of her slender white arm—

The Former Era combat machine known as Project Bunny 19C received the order for full firepower from its master. Its mechanical eyes instantly glowed crimson.

Project Bunny swiftly raised the heavy cannon weapon—tri-colored in silver, black, and red—mounted on its wrist. Aided by its quantum computer targeting system, it locked firmly onto Ren Amamiya's figure standing on the ground far below.

Even as the wrist cannon began to slowly charge, a furious barrage of shells, spitting hot fire, erupted violently from behind Project Bunny.

Under the utterly stunned gazes of passersby on the street, a veritable curtain of ordnance blotted out the sky, instantly raining down towards Ren's position in a devastating bombardment.

Bronya had no interest in harming innocent bystanders. Project Bunny had specifically calculated the trajectory and impact points of the shells.

As long as no idiot ran directly into the center of the battlefield to face-tank a missile, the onlookers would, at most, be knocked over by the shockwaves of the explosions, suffering no serious harm.

"Calling yourself Bronya... is your name actually Bronya? Judging by your appearance, you look about twelve or thirteen, right? Girls that age usually aren't childish enough to refer to themselves by their own name. See? You really are a robot!"

Ren hadn't even had time to put down his backpack after getting home before Bronya attacked him. Thus, his katana Raikiri and his Mosin-Nagant Sunwheel pistols were still on him.

Quickly drawing Raikiri from his black backpack, Ren now dual-wielded the mechanical katana Raikiri and the Jizo Mitama katana.

Facing the sky-filling barrage of shells rapidly fired by Project Bunny, Ren immediately cranked Raikiri's powerful electromagnetic shield to its maximum. Six deep purple lightning birds, shaped like blades, circled around him.

Persona Arsene moved in front of Ren, its black claws reaching out into the empty air before it. A profound chill, cold enough to freeze the soul, began emanating from between its claws.

"...Bronya is fourteen years old. Bronya is already an adult. Perhaps Bronya really shouldn't refer to Bronya using Bronya's name anymore!"

Hearing Ren's assessment of her apparent age and her way of speaking...

Even though the emotional circuits in her brain had been damaged during the X-10 experiment, Bronya, clearly bothered by his words, felt her brow twitch slightly. With a hint of indignation in her voice, for the first time during the fight, she voluntarily engaged Ren in conversation unrelated to the mission.
