I stand beside my bed, staring down at the white lace dress stretched across it.
"Well, you said you were sick of the gray dress," I mutter.
Yes, I did. But I wasn't expecting Nolan to replace it with… this. And now I'm stuck with what looks like a wedding dress because there's no way I'm going to get out of wearing it. Not today.
I pick up the dress even though I'd like nothing more than to push open my door and toss it.
"At least it has sleeves." I hold it up with a grimace. "Even if it is sheerer than I would prefer."
But before I put it on, I should shower. Just in case there are any traces of Lucian's scent on my skin.
"A long shower. Just to be sure," I tell myself as I return the designer dress to the bed and turn to leave.
