Chapter 3 - Mystery Pryer and Another Cheat

Neo found himself in a large luscious forest, his entire body seemed elated. His hands were transparent and deep blue, it resembled spiritual body one might say. His thoughts blurred as he rushed to figure out what happened, all he could remember was agonizing pain before he found himself here.

The trees had grown wildly, as plants and flowers encompassed the large spherical world. At the centre of the world was a collasallus redwood tree, its branches slithered around the world as it wrapped around the world tightly. Two deep slits were present in the sturdy redwood overlooking the entirety of the moor. Its branches and leaves twisted and turned to form a large book filled with mystical scripts. The leaves had an enchanting look and was filled with blue writing. Letters and words ran around the moor like Labradors trying to find a new plaything.

The whole world looked quite marvelous except for two little problems, decaying and recomposing figures ran around the place like little children at the playground. Their gloomy presence seemed to suck in the brightness of the world, the words and letters gave out a guttering roar every now and then as their screeching seemed to whiter out the few other words.

Neo looked around the place with fascination as he tested out his new body, he quickly grasped how to maneuver around the place and instantly flew to a giant gaping hole in the middle of the sturdy tree. Entering inside his eyes faltered, his movements drooped as he looked around the place.

A ginormaus library sat in the small hole, semingky streching forever. The library was arranged alphabetically, with different books, some of them were red, others yellow and a few others green. The titles of the books varied, some were of people's names, others of material concepts like air, water and more. Neo's eyes sharpened as the gears in his head turned, he quickly went to the K section as he searched the fathomless section, searching for what he wanted.

Within seconds his eyes glanced over what he was searching for, right there the yellowish-black book had two words written on it in white ink. The words were—Klein Moretti, just as Neo expected, his mouth formed an O shape as his mind was blown. This library wasn't just a normal library—it contained all the information ever recorded in the world.

Just as he was about to explore more, a terrifying suction force pierced through the world as he felt his spiritual body being recalled back to the material world. Damnation!, Neo cried out in his mind as he was completely pulled back to reality, but not before his previously fuzzy memories cleared up, bringing a bit of clarity to his mind.

"….."

From the day Neo had transmigrated, his memories entered a state of amnesia. These memories were about the deepest secrets of this world, though most of his memories regarding this world had been sealed, he was still about to retain a major part of it. He had accounted this amnesia, as a way of his body trying to keep him alive by forgetting most of his corruption inducing memories.

But the more he thought about it, the less it made sense. How can his body actually proactively do such a thing? It seems impossible, and now he had received some confirmation, it appears that when he had transmigrated he somehow in an inconceivable way was linked to the Knowledge Moor.

One of the nine Sefirah present in the world, the Knowledge Moor to protect his body, had sealed most of his 'dangerous' memories. A starting surprise, with his earlier cheats and now this. He might actually be invincible.

Within mere moments, Neo regained his consciousness and awoke to the sight of Old Conner and Captain Casey, each ready with Sealed Artifacts. Casey held a wooden tome, it was ordained with a scarlet red ruby in the middle. Its cover was made with a thick teak branch, as pages fluttered with the breeze as Captain Casey held the time open.

Old Conner on the other hand, blew a whistle the moment he saw Neo awaken from his slumber. In a second, a hollow spirit appeared, his eyes were hollow as his chest protruded out and revealed its sharp milky ribs, his hands were shaped like a scythe and his nose sharp.

The spirit seemed to be agitated by something as his knees slightly buckled, his body started to shudder and his head started to bow, the spirit soon found his footing as it's eyes glowed red, instantly seven embers of fire danced around his back, ready to strike at a moments notice.

"Aw jeez, you guys didn't have to welcome me like this. I feel flattered now." Neo broke the ice, by telling a small joke. His mouth breaking into a slight smile.

"How do you feel?"

Casey asked as her eyes narrowed at his figure, "Like a horse ready to go on the track or something like that." Neo answered back, a smug smile rested on his face.

"You should know you scared all of us, when you lost consciousness, Old Conner shouted louder than ever, I myself thought he was having a stroke."

Old Conner's eyes narrowed at her words, as he silently grumbled about this generation having no respect. Casey paused suppressing a chuckle before she continued.

"Finding you, collapsed on the ground with your eyes blacker than the Backlund smoke really had me worried. I had to borrow 2-09 without permission to remove your corruption. The Archbishop is really going to eat my head now, are you sure you're fine?"

"Never been better."

Neo said as he gave a slight nod, he thought back to how some of his memories had been unsealed, and the revelation that this was Earth!, caused his mind to reel. Neo's mind was slightly numb, the shock of all of this just made him want to rest.

"I'm going to head out now, I'm quite tired with all these ordeals."

Saying that he flashed a reassuring smile as he quickly made his escape.

"..."

Hierländ Cathedral

Casey looked around the room as members of the Machinery Hivemind and the Ivory Talons, an elite team of experienced members. They were similar to the Red Gloves, each of their members were at the bare minimum Sequence 7, gathered together.

Yet she still hadn't seen Neo arrive, 'Gosh what is that idiot doing, this is an emergency mission. It's also his first mission, if he's late to this it'll put a stain on his career.'

Casey clicked her tongue, she couldn't delay the meeting any further. Yet just as she was about to start the gathering, the prodigal son arrived.

"Sorry I'm late, I was caught up in the road of life."

Neo gave a silly excuse as he sat in a corner, his eyes were dark, and his hands clenched together. He had stayed up the entire night, pondering about the consequences of that revelation.

Casey gave a slight sigh before she continued, "We have received actionable intel that the Aurora Order has set up a Beyonder gathering, normally we would just monitor the gathering and note down the wild Beyonders. But we have heard rumours that the Aurora Order has sent an Oracle of theirs and a Saint to set things up.

Our mission is to kill the Saint and capture the Oracle, this is a high risk mission and is also a long term one. So if you have families, do say goodbye."

The underlying meaning of Casey's words were clear, this mission was quite risky and some might die, a chance to say farewell was the least she could do.

Yet Neo's mind became distracted, he recalled his thoughts last night.

Was this his Earth?, that question was still stuck in his mind.

On this Earth, there were media like One Piece and Naruto, similar to his old world. But Klein's journey and the entire history of this world, was just fiction for him.

That meant that he did transmigrate, but the question remained. How did this happen?!, why would a random omnipotent being transmigrate a literal nobody in this world. Maybe the Celestial Worthy had broken the barriers of Space and Time to capture humans and set them up as his revival plan.

There were many questions like this, yet Neo had no way to interfere in anything or find out any answers, after all he was just a mere Sequence 9, he held no real power. He was just an ant in the Grand scheme of things, just thinking about a Great Old One would have cost his mind to explode if it wasn't for the techniques he had learned from the Tibetan Monks.

His only goal right now was to gain enough power to seek answers!

"Neo!" Casey's voice rang out, shattering his thoughts. His head darted up

"Yes, what is it Captain Casey?"

"Didn't you hear what I just said?, you're gonna be on the infiltration team, so do start your preparations." Casey gave an exasperated sigh as she looked at Neo's face.

"I see"

Neo gave a curt reply as he looked at the departing crowd, with a slight jump he made his way to the door.

Casey closed her eyes and inwardly grumbled, One near death experience and he's this depressed. Gosh
