Chapter 39 - Episode 39

Breakfast & Reflection

The dining room was filled with the loud sounds of plates clanking and food being devoured—at least from one side of the table.

Caulifla was inhaling her breakfast like a true Saiyan, tearing through plates stacked high with food, barely stopping to breathe between bites.

Meanwhile, Raziel sat across from her, completely still, his eyes locked onto his menu, hands hovering idly over the table. His plate was untouched.

His eyes darted across the numbers on his screen.

"Raziel"

Power Level:379,833,878

Ki Capacity:500,000

Transformation:Bloodfare Ascension

Consumption:15,000/s

Mastery Level:0

Mastery Experience:5,790 / 10,000

Raziel blinked, stunned.

His power had skyrocketed—far beyond what it was just a day ago.

This… This can't be normal…

He had never expected to grow this much so fast. A jump like this felt… unnatural. It was like he had skipped years of training in mere hours.

And yet—his mastery of his transformation was still at zero.

Raziel sighed, shaking his head before switching tabs, pulling up Caulifla's stats to check her progress.

"Caulifla"

Power Level:25,349,846

Ki Capacity:377,000

Transformation:Super Saiyan 3

Consumption:8,500/s

Mastery Level:1

Mastery Experience:410/1,200

Raziel's eyes widened.

His mind raced.

Caulifla had gone from 4 million to 25 million… in just one day.

His own growth was insane—but her growth was just as shocking.

Something wasn't right.

How?

Training wasn't supposed to work like this.

He had trained for centuries in his void—pushing his body far beyond its limits, constantly searching for new ways to become stronger.

And yet, here he was, gaining power faster than he ever had before.

It felt… too easy.

Like the ultimate prize was being handed to him—without the usual pain and struggle.

Caulifla Noticing Raziel's Silence

The sound of chewing stopped.

Caulifla had been too focused on devouring her meal, but now—she had noticed something.

Raziel hadn't touched his food.

His plate was empty, his hands motionless, his eyes glued to the air in front of him, locked onto something she couldn't see.

Her brow furrowed.

She dropped her fork, crossing her arms.

Caulifla: "…Hey, faker! You should eat!"

Raziel Snaps Out of It

Raziel flinched, startled by her sudden words.

His eyes snapped open, and he quickly blinked a few times before nodding repeatedly—as if trying to shake himself out of deep thought.

Raziel: "Huh? Oh, y-yeah, yeah…"

But instead of eating, he simply looked back at his menu.

His mind was still racing.

Caulifla's Saiyan Instincts Kick In

Caulifla narrowed her eyes.

Something was off.

Saiyans didn't ignore food.

If a Saiyan wasn't eating, something was wrong.

Caulifla: "If you wanna become a real Saiyan, you need to eat, faker!"

Raziel's Hollow Response

Raziel: "…I trained for centuries. I'm used to going without food for long periods of time…"

His voice was calm—but hollow.

His expression darkened, his eyes dimmed slightly.

Raziel: "But I'll eat eventually… After all… I don't wanna feel like him."

Caulifla's Curiosity is Sparked

Caulifla's brow furrowed.

Caulifla: "Like him? Who's 'him'?"

She leaned forward slightly, her curiosity piqued.

Raziel hesitated.

For the first time since they met, he averted his gaze.

Raziel: "…Someone I knew."

His voice was quieter now.

There was a weight to his words.

A deep-rooted pain—one that wasn't new.

Raziel: "Don't worry about it… I'll eat later. I just… I just don't feel like it right now."

The Weight of Silence

For a moment, there was silence.

Caulifla stared at him, her expression hard to read.

And then—

She simply went back to eating.

But this time, she didn't devour her food like before.

She slowed down.

She didn't press him for answers.

Not yet.

Instead, she simply let the moment pass.

A Saiyan's Reality Check

The quiet clatter of dishes filled the dining room as Caulifla continued eating. She didn't devour her food as aggressively as before—she still had an ear tuned to Raziel's words.

Meanwhile, Raziel remained silent, his eyes still locked onto his menu screen.

His thoughts wandered as he spoke.

Raziel's Reflection – A Life of Endless Hunger

Raziel: "…That 'him' is… another version of me."

Caulifla kept chewing but paused slightly, her gaze flickering toward him.

Raziel: "In my original dimension… just like in yours, there exists a multiverse. And in one timeline—or 'universe' if you want to simplify it… There's a version of me that exists in a constant, endless life of starvation. He's unable to die—but it's not just him… It's everyone there."

His fingers tightened slightly on the table.

Raziel: "Knowing that… It's something I have marked in me. He's nicknamed 'Horror'… After all, he's like a living horror movie."

Caulifla's Cold Reality Check

Caulifla's chewing stopped completely.

She swallowed her food and narrowed her eyes, finally putting her fork down.

Caulifla: "…And what?"

Raziel blinked, turning to her.

Caulifla: "Don't feel pity for him. Things happen, and you should be thinking about yourself—not someone you can't even help."

Her voice was firm, filled with Saiyan pride.

Raziel paused.

His expression softened slightly, as if her words were slowly settling in.

Raziel: "I guess… I should ignore that and… let myself enjoy—"

Caulifla's 'Lesson' – The Saiyan Way

🔥 SPLAT. 🔥

Something hit Raziel's face.

He blinked.

A piece of food slid down his cheek and landed on the table.

Slowly, he turned his head, staring at Caulifla.

She smirked, crossing her arms.

Caulifla: "I told you—I don't care about that crap. Focus on yourself already."

Her voice hardened, carrying the full weight of Saiyan authority.

Caulifla: "Stop acting like a weakling and start acting like a real Saiyan! A real Saiyan doesn't waste time worrying about useless things. A real Saiyan doesn't stop training—no matter what! A real Saiyan fights everyone, no matter the outcome of the battle!"

Her golden eyes burned with fierce determination.

Caulifla: "And if you keep acting like this, it's no wonder your personality is so weak that you get submitted easily!"

Raziel's Response – Learning the Saiyan Way

Raziel's gaze lowered.

His shoulders slumped slightly.

Then, after a few seconds—he nodded.

Slowly.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

Caulifla grinned, thinking she got through to him—

Until—

Caulifla: "Everyone has their own damn problems to deal with! Whether it's their world, their universe, or their timeline—it's their business, not yours! So focus on eating right now, or I'll force you to eat!"

Her fist clenched.

Caulifla: "Say another pity-filled sentence, and I'll punch you!"

Raziel's Saiyan Answer – Turning the Tables

Raziel paused.

His mind raced.

He needed to think like a Saiyan.

How would a real Saiyan answer?

Then—slowly—he smirked.

A sharp, teasing smirk.

His crimson eyes gleamed mischievously as he turned toward Caulifla.

Raziel: "Well… how about you stop talking and start acting?~"

His voice lowered slightly, taking on a playful yet challenging tone.

Raziel: "Bet I can submit you like a good little girl in an instant~."

🔥 Tension filled the air. 🔥

Caulifla froze.

Her cheeks flared red.

Her Saiyan pride burned—not in embarrassment, but in challenge.

Her fist tightened.

Her tail bristled.

This was no longer just a conversation—

This was a declaration of war.
