Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Heading Towards the Last Dragon Ball

Seeing the effect of his own Kamehame Wave, Kame-Sen'nin felt embarrassed and smiled awkwardly at Ox-King, saying, "I didn't expect to lose control and not only extinguish the fire but also destroy your castle."

Ox-King, out of respect for his master, quickly said, "It's okay, Master. We can rebuild the castle. You must be tired!"

John and Bulma ignored the conversation between the master and disciple and used the Dragon Radar to search for the sixth Dragon Ball in the ruins of the mountain.

Soon, John found the sixth Dragon Ball, the Seven-Star Ball, and happily cheered with Bulma.

However, Goku hadn't joined John and Bulma in searching for the Dragon Ball. Instead, he found Kame-Sen'nin and tugged on his sleeve, looking at him with longing and asking, "Grandpa, can I learn the technique you just used?"

"What technique? The Kamehame Wave?" Kame-Sen'nin asked curiously.

Goku nodded eagerly.

Seeing Goku's desire to learn his ultimate technique, the Kamehame Wave, Kame-Sen'nin smiled and said, "No, your strength isn't sufficient. To use this technique, you'll need to train for at least another fifty years." He held up five fingers to emphasize his point.

Goku was disappointed by Kame-Sen'nin's words and walked over to the car, mimicking Kame-Sen'nin's movements and attempting to perform the Kamehame Wave.

Kame-Sen'nin, seeing Goku's determination, said, "Don't waste your energy. You're not strong enough to use the Kamehame Wave yet."

But before Kame-Sen'nin could finish speaking, a flash of light appeared in Goku's hand, and he pushed forward, releasing a weak energy wave that destroyed the car's tires. Goku had successfully performed the Kamehame Wave.

Goku's display surprised Kame-Sen'nin, Ox-King, Bulma, who had just found the Dragon Ball, and Yamcha, who was watching from a distance.

Ox-King was delighted and exclaimed, "You're truly the grandson of Son Gohan! You're so powerful!"

Hearing Ox-King's words, Kame-Sen'nin realized that Goku was the grandson of his beloved disciple, Son Gohan.

Kame-Sen'nin's admiration for Goku grew, and he asked, "Goku, would you like to become my disciple and learn martial arts?"

Goku was thrilled by Kame-Sen'nin's offer and immediately agreed. However, he hesitated and said that he had promised John and Bulma to help them collect the Dragon Balls. He wondered if he could wait until after collecting the Dragon Balls to start his training.

Kame-Sen'nin readily agreed, and since they had found the Dragon Ball, they prepared to depart towards the last Dragon Ball.

But at that moment, Kame-Sen'nin walked up to Bulma and said lecherously, "Miss Bulma, you haven't forgotten your promise to me, have you?"

Bulma hadn't forgotten, but she pretended not to remember. Seeing Kame-Sen'nin's reminder, she whispered, "I can't believe this old man's memory is so good."

Kame-Sen-nin ignored Bulma's whispers and made a face at her.

Bulma said to him, "Wait here, I'll be right back." She walked over to Oolong and pulled him behind a wall.

After a while, "Bulma" poked her head out from behind the wall and waved to Kame-Sen'nin, who eagerly ran towards her.

Soon, lewd laughter came from behind the wall, and when Bulma emerged, there were two streaks of blood under her nose that hadn't been wiped clean.

With the Dragon Ball found and Bulma obtaining Ox-King's carefully prepared treasure, John used a capsule to transform it into a car, ready to drive towards the last Dragon Ball.

At that moment, Ox-King's daughter approached, her face slightly red, and said to Goku in the car, "Goku, remember your promise to me. When you grow up, you must come and marry me!"

Goku didn't understand what marriage meant and thought it was something delicious, so he readily agreed.

John drove the car with Bulma, Goku, and Oolong, while Yamcha secretly followed behind in his car, even more cautious after seeing Goku's use of the Kamehame Wave.

Bulma held the Dragon Radar and said, "John, there's only one Dragon Ball left, the One-Star Ball. The radar shows that it's about 300 kilometers away, deep in the desert."

"Are you excited that we're about to collect all the Dragon Balls and fulfill your wish?"

John, of course, had a plan to deal with Pilaf, and he was thrilled that his wish would soon come true. He had worked so hard for so long, and now he would have the freedom to soar like a fish in the ocean and fly like a bird in the sky.

John thanked Bulma, saying, "Bulma, thank you. You're my best friend. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to collect the Dragon Balls and fulfill my wish."

He then turned to Goku and Oolong in the backseat and said, "Thank you, Goku and Oolong. I hope we can be lifelong friends."

Hearing John's words, Goku rubbed his nose and smiled happily.

Oolong was also touched, even though they had only known each other for a short time, and he had initially been forced to join the group. He was moved that John considered him a friend.

Bulma raised her fist and shouted, "Let's head towards the last Dragon Ball!"

"Yes!" everyone echoed.

John floored the accelerator, and the car sped towards the One-Star Dragon Ball deep in the desert.

At this time, Pilaf, who had been watching the Dragon Radar in his castle, saw that six Dragon Balls had gathered and were rapidly approaching his castle. It was clear that the other party also had a Dragon Radar and could see the location of his Dragon Ball.

"Mai, Shu, do you see those six Dragon Balls? Go and get our Dragon Ball back immediately. I don't want you to fail again," Pilaf instructed his subordinates.

"Yes, King Pilaf!" Mai and Shu replied.
