Chapter 199 - Chapter 90: Quick Charge, Stylish Pose

Something really happened.

Feeling uneasy, Hermione hurriedly pulled Glenn toward the eighth floor, and even from afar, they could hear the noise coming from above.

They quickened their pace, climbing the stairs to the eighth floor.

Upon reaching the corridor, the space was already packed, and Glenn noticed many Ravenclaw wizards who should have been in the library had gathered here, likely drawn by the commotion.

Among these little Eagles, one young witch caught Glenn's attention with a peculiar feeling.

She had silver eyes, faint eyebrows, hair draped over her shoulders, pale skin comparable to Glenn's, and wore radish-shaped earrings.

"Luna Lovegood." Glenn's attention shifted slightly as he habitually began analyzing the target information, "Her father is Xenophilius Lovegood, editor of The Quibbler."

"A first-year student, sorted into Ravenclaw, with excellent grades, but seemingly ostracized by her peers..."

"...and..."

...She often exudes a strange magical aura.

Hermione also noticed Luna and jogged over to talk with her, then returned, with Glenn noting that the girl's gaze followed Hermione all the way to him.

Glenn sensed that Luna seemed to be looking at him...

Seeing Glenn turn his head in the direction he came from, Hermione understood and softly introduced, "That young witch is Luna Lovegood, a new student this year, from Ravenclaw."

"My friend."

(Note: The reason why Hermione can become friends with Luna here is temporarily not mentioned. In short, it is related to Hermione's own growth in thought due to Glenn and the effect of a certain spell. You can guess first, but don't say I don't know the original work.)

(No matter what, let's deal with it first.)

Glenn nodded, waiting for Hermione to continue.

"Another young wizard was attacked by the giant serpent." Hermione said seriously, pointing towards Gryffindor's common room, "And the attack location was very close to Gryffindor's common room."

The young girl indicated for Glenn to lift her up to hang on the wall, so they could see over the crowd inside. Glenn understood, lifted Hermione with one hand, and the Hand of Sorcery appeared above his left hand, merging into the back of his hand, equipping it.

"Phantom Form, Spider Walk." He lightly tapped Hermione and himself on the head, and as their forms vanished, Glenn jumped sideways, using the suction from his left hand and foot to hang them at the junction of the ceiling and wall.

"Look over there." Hermione reached out, guiding Glenn to explore deeper into the direction she pointed.

"..." Glenn extended his heightened perception range, looking towards the wall surrounded by people.

A swath of crimson.

It was a bloodstain, messily splattered on the wall, with some areas not yet fully coagulated, droplets of fresh blood continuously pulling red lines down the wall.

Before the wall, Dumbledore was already standing there, his face angry, his hand pressed on the... statue before him.

Another Muggle-born young wizard petrified by the giant serpent.

Glenn silently retrieved information about this unfortunate soul, comparing it with the terrified face.

"Glenn, the magical glasses you made have done a great job." After Hermione saw the attacked young wizard, she couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

She noticed the glasses in front of the young wizard were slowly emitting black smoke, a sign that the alchemical device within had been damaged.

And this meant the protective function of the glasses had worked.

Dumbledore's expression gradually returned to calm. He slightly tilted his head, his gaze connecting with Glenn's eyes covered by black silk.

The old bee nodded, seemingly in gratitude.

Glenn had no intention of responding; to him, this matter was merely a casual move to hinder the actions of the Heir of Slytherin.

Beside him, Hermione, seeing the attacked young wizard was not in life-threatening danger, also relaxed, focusing on receiving and analyzing the information at the scene.

"The blood on the wall hasn't fully coagulated, indicating the current time point is not long after the attack occurred."

"And beneath those large, irregularly sprayed bloodstains, there seems to be blood writing..."

"Just like the blood writing on the wall when Mrs. Norris was attacked."

"To be honest, it's hard to see without looking closely."

Hermione took out her wand, casting an enhancement spell on her brown eyes, allowing her to see the situation on the wall from such a distance.

"But why would the Heir of Slytherin use bloodstains to cover up the written blood words?"

Hermione wondered, was there something being concealed?

"Time." Glenn whispered in Hermione's ear, "Maybe that person simply didn't have time to complete their blood writing, and all the Gryffindor wizards returned."

Glenn briefly recalled his memory from not long ago, realizing this unfortunate soul was the first Gryffindor to rush out of the Great Hall upon learning there were no classes today.

Quick speed, stylish posture.

By the time the other young wizards reacted, this guy had already run out for some time.

And this gave the Heir of Slytherin, who had been lying in wait, an opportunity to attack.

After explaining, Glenn continued his analysis.

"The Heir of Slytherin likely didn't finish writing the blood words they wanted to leave on the wall. When they realized more and more young wizards were continuously climbing the stairs towards their location, to avoid exposure or for some purpose, they hurriedly smeared their unfinished 'masterpiece,' disguising it as a chaotic bloodstain."

Hermione: ?

The young girl expressed her inability to understand.

"Based on previous events, I've roughly analyzed part of the Heir of Slytherin's personality."

"Proud, arrogant, such a person wouldn't leave something they wanted to complete but couldn't at the scene."

"But they couldn't clear the bloodstains already on the wall, so they hurriedly covered it with another layer of fresh blood."

"Because of tight time, they left some flaws."

"Yes, that's right, the blood words left on the wall before were only cleaned up when the professors came over; ordinary cleaning didn't work at all." Hermione "oh"-ed, indicating she understood.

Now, having listened to Glenn's series of analyses of the Heir of Slytherin, Hermione looked again at the whole wall of fresh blood.

Emmmmm...

...A bit... hard to describe.

Thinking of the Heir of Slytherin nervously glancing around and hurriedly directing the giant serpent to spray blood on the wall, Hermione felt a bit speechless.

Hard to comment.
