The entire sky was instantly shrouded in darkness, as if the world had reached its most perilous moment.
Above Kamar-Taj, storm clouds churned violently, twisting into grotesque skull-like formations. Jagged fangs of shadow opened wide, as if seeking to devour the entire sanctum in an abyss of malevolence.
"Do you really think this is the best you can muster?"
The Nightmare Cultist sneered, his gaze fixed upon the churning sky. The gathering energy radiated an overwhelming force—one they had long revered as their ultimate forbidden technique. To wield it meant sacrificing their own vitality, but for the success of their dark purpose, death was inconsequential.
"So, this is the grand spell you've worked so hard to unleash?"
Finn's eyes remained unwavering, his expression cold and unreadable as he gazed upon the apocalyptic display. There was no fear, no hesitation—only absolute resolve.
"Even this will not be enough to stop me."
The Nightmare Apostle clenched his fists, his form trembling as he bellowed, "Channel all of your energy! Now!"
The surrounding cultists obeyed, pouring their very essence into the forbidden incantation. The deep-space rift above Kamar-Taj twisted violently, its spiraling maw gaping wider, threatening to swallow reality itself.
"Your ambitions are laughable."
Finn moved.
Like a golden comet streaking through the night, he was upon them in an instant. The Sword of Vishanti carved through the air, its radiant edge slicing down without mercy.
Sickeningly, the blades met flesh.
Limbs fell away as shrieks of agony tore through the battlefield. Yet, even in their suffering, the cultists did not relent. They staggered back, enduring their mutilation with fanatical zeal, continuing to fuel their spell.
"You're all insane!"
Finn's voice was devoid of empathy, his contempt evident.
Above them, the colossal nightmare face roared as its countless fangs gnashed together, swallowing the very sword energy Finn had unleashed. The gathered sorcerers recoiled in horror.
"It consumed the attack?!"
Wong's voice rang out as he appeared beside Finn, his gaze darting between the cultists and the monstrous rift in the sky.
The battlefield was overrun with apostles—swarms of them, like mindless vermin, unrelenting in their assault. Their power was not overwhelming, but their sheer numbers and persistence were an annoyance beyond reason.
"We need a new strategy," Wong muttered, his hands still ablaze with protective sigils.
"I'll handle this," Finn replied, his grip tightening around the Sword of Vishanti.
The Dark Witch stepped forward, her eyes glowing with chaotic power. "We'll attack together. Our combined force should be enough."
Finn nodded. There was no room for arrogance now. Only results mattered.
The battle escalated.
Finn's blade ignited in golden light, each swing releasing cataclysmic arcs of energy. The Dark Witch, weaving her Chaos Magic, unleashed torrents of crimson devastation alongside him.
The world itself trembled.
The opposing forces clashed with a thunderous eruption, sending shockwaves rippling across the battlefield. The sky fractured with each collision, like reality itself was splintering beneath their wrath.
The monstrous face above let out a shriek that shook the heavens.
For a brief moment, silence followed.
Then, the cultists realized the truth—they were losing. Their most sacred technique, the one they had placed all their faith in, was crumbling before their eyes.
"No... No, this isn't possible!"
"Our plan... our sacrifice... was it all for nothing?!"
The remaining apostles faltered, their once unwavering belief shattered.
"You lost the moment you challenged me."
Finn advanced, his every step resonating like the tolling of a death knell. The apostles, once so emboldened, now shrank back in fear. Their power was spent, their desperation evident.
Then—
Boom!
The heavens exploded in a cacophony of light and sound.
Lightning surged through the blackened clouds, crackling with divine fury. A hundred-thousand meters of sky were consumed in an ethereal blaze as the demonic face ruptured, its monstrous shriek echoing into oblivion.
For a moment, the world was pure radiance.
Then, the storm ceased.
The swirling abyss above Kamar-Taj disintegrated, fragments of its corrupted energy dissipating like dust in the wind. The battle was all but over.
Yet—
"Brace yourselves! The energy fallout is incoming!" Wong bellowed.
The backlash of the dispersed magic surged downward, an unstoppable force threatening to annihilate all in its path. A catastrophe of unparalleled magnitude.
"Shields up!"
Golden runes flared to life as the remaining sorcerers of Kamar-Taj responded instantly, conjuring shimmering barriers to shield themselves from the onslaught.
An ocean of golden light flooded the battlefield as ancient sigils interlocked, creating a protective dome around the remaining defenders. The raw power of the spell backlash roared against them, but they held firm.
The energy storm passed.
Silence fell once more.
And when the dust settled, only one figure remained standing amidst the smoldering ruins of the battlefield.
Finn.
His golden blade still gleamed.
His cold, unreadable eyes scanned the remnants of the battlefield before he finally spoke—
"It's over."
And so, the storm had passed.
