EMMA
Ian pulled me out of the chamber along with him, but I angrily yanked my hand from his grip.
"What is wrong?" he asked as he turned to me worried, lacing his voice as he reached out to touch me. I stepped back quickly.
"Don't touch me," I snapped, my voice louder than I intended.
The flash of pain in his eyes didn't escape me, but I didn't care. Not right now.
"What is wrong with you? Why are you telling me not to…"
I raised my hand to silence him. "Just stop."
His mouth opened slightly, confused, but I didn't let him speak.
"I didn't want to be your Luna. I rejected you. We are not meant to be together. Stop pestering me and go do what your mother wants."
"Emma!" he yelled, his voice raw and trembling, but I didn't move and stood my ground.
