It was a fine day. Charlotte urged to go shopping.
She had heard of the newly opened boutique at the central market. As reported by Tina, the clothes there were very attractive and dear.
Charlotte was thrilled. This was the kind of things she loved to do and besides she hadn't been out of the palace in a while. Going out now and buying some wears would be so pleasing.
She bathed and was dressed by a few maids. She applied a handful of makeup and left her chamber, followed by two guards and three maids who would help carry her bought goods.
She got into a carriage which was rode to the palace gate but the gate guards surprisingly stopped her, refusing to open the gate.
"Princess, we deeply apologize but they are assassins roaming about in the city. We can't let you go out without much security."
Charlotte was taken aback.
Assassins? Her eyes widened.
