Zane leaned back in his seat again, his posture relaxed but his tone serious as he spoke.
"Okay," he said, giving her a simple nod. "When you're ready, just let me know. I'll make the necessary calls and tell you exactly what you need to do."
Emma listened closely, feeling her heart beat a little faster with every word he said.
"Since your father doesn't want to hand over the company willingly," Zane continued, his voice calm but firm, "then we'll just have to remind him properly. Remind him that he's sitting on something that doesn't belong to him anymore."
He watched Emma carefully, making sure she understood.
"Let's not pretend," Zane said with a small shrug. "Your father doesn't plan to give you the company. If he did, you wouldn't even have to be asking for it now."
Emma lowered her eyes slightly, the truth of his words stinging more than she wanted to admit.
