Chapter 11 - Blood Poisoning [I]

Hao Yang jumped up and down in the forest, helping Gou Tui find food, but Gou Tui was not surprised at all that Hao Yang could jump several meters at a time. It seemed that whatever he did was natural to Gou Tui.

Especially in the past three years, Hao Yang dared to fight against Goutou's gang alone, which was an incredible thing for Goutou. Hao Yang's image in his eyes became infinitely taller.

Soon, Gou Tui was full. It could be said that this was the fullest Gou Tui had ever eaten.

Hao Yang and Gou Tui were sitting on a rock at this time. Looking at Gou Tui's satisfied expression, Hao Yang couldn't help but smile.

Gou Tuis looked at Hao Yang and asked curiously, "How do you know which things are edible and which are not?"

Although he has lived with Hao Yang for three years, this is the first time that Gou Tui has come to the wild with Hao Yang to find food.

The reason why they didn't look for food in the mountains and forests before was because there were not only various wild beasts in the mountains and forests, but also various natural dangers. To find food in such an environment, it takes more energy.

For a beggar like Hao Yang who can only barely eat one meal a day, he really doesn't have the extra energy to enter the mountains and forests to look for food.

However, for Hao Yang now, these so-called problems are not problems at all. With the sensitivity of his five senses, he can detect the wild beast as long as it is slightly close. In addition, his body functions are far superior to those of ordinary people.

Even though he has consumed a lot of physical strength, he does not feel tired at all. Instead, he feels that he has endless energy in his body.

Hao Yang pointed at himself with his thumb and said proudly, "What do I know? Don't worry, just follow me from now on, and I will make sure you have enough to eat every day."

Gou Tui chuckled, nodded, and said without hesitation: "Well, I understand."

Hao Yang stared at the Gou Tui, sighed in his heart, and said to himself: "Gou Tui, this is all I can do for you. I am an immortal now and have endless life. But don't worry, I will always protect you until you are buried in peace."

Just when Hao Yang secretly made up his mind, a slight rustling sound came into his ears.

The sound was so faint that even with Hao Yang's current hearing, he almost failed to catch it.

At this time they were in the mountains and all the dangers were unknown. Hao Yang's eyes focused, and he picked up a stone beside him like lightning, jumped up and stood in front of the dog's leg, staring at his surroundings cautiously.

Gou Tui looked at Hao Yang in confusion and asked, "What's wrong with you?"

Hao Yang turned his head and said softly: "Shh, don't talk. Remember, if anything happens later, you must follow me closely."

Gou Tui didn't understand, but nodded anyway.

A breeze blew, causing the branches to sway gently, and a sound of leaves rubbing against each other could be heard. At first glance, it sounded no different from the rustling sound just now.

Hao Yang didn't dare to relax. He was sure that there was something hiding around him, but he still hadn't found out what it was.

As time passed, Hao Yang felt more and more stressed, and a drop of cold sweat flowed down his forehead.

At this moment, the rustling sound was heard again. This time, Hao Yang threw the stone in his hand towards the direction of the sound without hesitation, and it shot into the bushes nearby with a whoosh.

Almost at the same time as the stone was thrown in, a black shadow shot out from the gap in the grass like lightning. It was so fast that it had already rushed more than ten feet away in the blink of an eye.

Hao Yang looked carefully and saw clearly that it was a small snake.

The snake was snow-white with red spots on its surface. There was a black circle in the spots, which looked like blood-red eyes. It was very scary. It was obviously a poisonous snake.

In the blink of an eye, the poisonous snake was in front of him, its mouth wide open, four fangs extended, and a trace of light yellow venom stuck to the tips of its fangs, but the target of his attack was not Hao Yang, but the lackey behind Hao Yang.

Instinctively, the poisonous snake sensed danger from Hao Yang. Although this snake was not intelligent, its beast instinct made it make the most correct choice in an instant, which was to lock its target on the Gou Tui from the beginning.

Gou Tuis' reaction was originally half a beat slower than others, and the snake was too fast. Even when the snake came close to him, Gou Tuis still stood there motionless.

Hao Yang roared, and when the poisonous snake's fangs were about to bite the dog's leg, his right hand shot out like lightning. Although the poisonous snake was fast, it was still much slower than Hao Yang, and was caught by Hao Yang without any suspense.

However, at the moment when Hao Yang grabbed the poisonous snake, another poisonous snake shot out from the grass. Its size was twice as large as the one in his hand, and its speed was incredibly fast. It bit Hao Yang's wrist.

Hao Yang's pupils contracted violently, and his other hand reached out at the same time, narrowly grabbing the poisonous snake.

At this moment, the fangs of the venomous snake were less than an inch away from Hao Yang's skin, and Hao Yang could even feel the warmth coming out of the snake's mouth.

Looking at the two poisonous snakes, one big and one small, in his hands, Hao Yang couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.

However, before Hao Yang could breathe a sigh of relief, he suddenly felt as if he had fallen into an ice cellar, and he couldn't help but shiver all over.
