Chapter 4 - The Cave [II]

After walking for about half an hour, the scenery in front of Hao Yang began to distort and his body shook more violently.

At this time, a strong wind blew, causing Hao Yang to stagger and fall to the side.

There was a patch of green grass on the ground, but when Hao Yang fell down, he found that the seemingly thick grass was actually hollow, and there was a small hole underneath. Hao Yang fell into it without checking.

Fortunately, the hole was not high, only about two meters, and Hao Yang landed quickly. There was a dull sound of a heavy object falling to the ground, but the god of bad luck seemed to favor Hao Yang.

Before he could come to his senses, a fist-sized stone fell and hit Hao Yang's back of the head accurately. Hao Yang, who was already drowsy, fainted with his eyes rolled back.

This coma lasted only for an incense stick of time. After regaining consciousness, Hao Yang glanced at the cave he was in. With the help of the constantly flashing lightning, he could see clearly the cave he was in.

The cave was irregularly round, only more than 30 square meters, about two meters high, with a circular hole in the center of the top, and the diameter of the hole was only one meter wide. It was obviously from there that Hao Yang fell.

Looking at the height that he could easily jump to, Hao Yang could only sigh in his heart. A bitter smile appeared on his face, and he murmured, "Am I really going to die here?"

Four days and four nights of fasting had drained all of Hao Yang's strength. Now he didn't even have the strength to move a finger.

The cave was damp, with rain dripping through the bushes from the top of the cave and gathering into a small pool in the middle of the cave. Hao Yang slowly curled up, holding his knees with one hand, feeling uneasy.

As soon as this uneasiness appeared, it instantly became extremely strong, and finally evolved into a kind of fear. After all, Hao Yang was only a twelve-year-old child and was still full of fear of death.

A layer of mist rose up, and he tried hard not to cry, but tears still flowed uncontrollably.

"I don't want to die, I don't want to die..." Hao Yang choked up and repeated these words, his body trembling slightly. A feeling of hesitation and helplessness seemed to become endless nutrients, making the fear in his heart grow rapidly.

After a while, the sound of heavy rain outside gradually disappeared until it became completely silent. The only sound in the entire cave was the tinkling sound of rain falling into the pool.

Not eating any food for a long time has made Hao Yang dazed, and his injuries have begun to worsen due to the lack of timely treatment. The swelling on his arm is more than twice as large as it was at the beginning, and the surface is already blue and purple. As he missed the best time for treatment and was infected with cold, his arm would be useless even with treatment.

But Hao Yang no longer cared about all this. Even his life was in danger, so how could he have the energy to care about an arm?

As time passed, Hao Yang became weaker and weaker. In the end, he could not even keep his body curled up. He could only move to the edge of the cave with difficulty. He leaned softly against the wall of the cave. Suddenly, a chill came from behind, making Hao Yang shiver uncontrollably. His intact arms fell down weakly.

However, when his hand fell to the ground, a dull sound was heard, as if it hit some hollow object. This made Hao Yang, who was already drowsy and had his eyes half closed, suddenly open his eyes, looked down at the place where his hand fell, and a look of doubt flashed in his eyes.

He stroked the ground with his palm for a while, then raised his hand and tapped it lightly, and immediately the hollow sound rang out again.

Hao Yang knocked on the surroundings a few times and estimated in his mind that the hollow place was only one foot in diameter. He rolled his eyes and without any hesitation, he immediately used up all his strength and began to kneel on the ground and search in the dark.

After a while, he seemed to touch something. Joy flashed across his face. He quickly grabbed it and took a closer look. It was a fist-sized stone with a little blood stain on it. Obviously, this was the culprit who knocked Hao Yang unconscious.

Holding the stone, he returned to the hollow place again, lifted the stone and smashed it down hard, but there was no strength left in Hao Yang's body, and the stone fell to the ground without any force.

Hao Yang suppressed the dizziness, raised the stone in his hand again, and with amazing willpower, he kept hitting the ground again and again.

About a cup of tea later, the ground finally cracked. Hao Yang was immediately alerted when he heard the sound and hurried over.

A crack appeared on the ground, but it was pitch black inside, and Hao Yang couldn't see through it. He immediately raised the stone again, aimed at the crack, and forced out all the strength in every cell in his body, and shouted and smashed it hard.

Hao Yang also squeezed out the last bit of strength in his body, and his body fell softly.

At this time, the cracks slowly expanded, and some fine cracks spread like a spider web, just spreading in front of Hao Yang. Then the ground shattered, revealing a small pit with a diameter of one foot.

Looking down the small pit, he found that the hollow was only two feet deep, wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, just like a small bowl.

Although it was dark all around, Hao Yang could still vaguely see that the "bottom of the bowl" was actually a piece of animal skin, and in the skin, there was a round ball.

He forced himself not to faint, and driven by his survival instinct, with no strength left in his body, he quickly grabbed the meatball and held it in front of him."
