Liana's POV
Time seemed to slow to a halt, as my gaze landed on the last just standing at the entrance to the kitchen. In the time we'd become friends, I think it was safe to see I'd seen her in every mood, happy, sad, mad, even shocked, but the surprised look on her face right now wasn't one I was going to be forgetting anytime soon , even if I wanted to.
Against my own will, it had been etched painfully into my mind, and I had no idea how I felt about that.
She stood rooted to her spot, while her eyes raked over me and Kieran. There was no way we could get out of this unscathed. She'd caught us, red-handed and in the act. I doubted even Kieran was going to be able to twist this in his favour.
He'd gone rigid in front of me, and I snuck a glance at his face. He didn't look the least bit bothered though. In fact, I couldn't help but feel like he felt slightly irritated that Serena had interrupted us.
