The sudden air of silence was loud enough, letting the new visitors know how welcomed they were, but still, Stephanie didn't mind. She walked in further into the kitchen with a mischievous smile directed towards Mila.
"I didn't get an invite, but I knew I had to visit my soon-to-be stepson and his wife regarding our in-laws' discharge from the hospital. Why is everyone's face gloomy? Am I not welcomed?"
Abby nudged Peach and whispered, "They're bad news, aren't they?"
Peach opened her mouth and closed it, but didn't say anything to the little girl. She had told her sister about the party because she knew they needed it at this point. They didn't have their family together again maybe a little time having fun wouldn't hurt. Peach didn't expect Allison to come along with someone else.
