"Is this because I said that I would accept the baby?" he asked me, but I shook my head.
"The baby has nothing to do with this. If that is your child, then you should decide what to do. But I am talking about Heather. You and I both know the rules among our kind. Your firstborn is bound to be continuing your lineage, and it's obvious that Heather is carrying your child."
"But we agreed to co-parent the child," he argued when an unrealistic smile appeared on my face.
