"You are right," Adam said when he began pacing again. "But I still strongly believe that she must be the gifted wolf." Adam insisted but I did not say anything. Ever since the murder, Adam and the other gifted wolves had been in hiding, fearing that more people would find out about their identity.
But today, I saw this glow in his face when he realized that maybe Aurora might just be the lost gifted wolf.
Ring ring.
Both Adam and I looked at my phone, which was ringing, when I made my way to the desk, and took it to see that it was Zander. "Hello?"
"Where are you, Adrian?" he sounded agitated when I turned around to face Adam. He must have felt something when Aurora left the pack.
"I…um…I am in the pack. Why?"
"I have been trying to reach Aurora's phone since last night, but she isn't picking it up. Is everything okay back there?" he asked me, and for a moment, I didn't know what to tell him. My eyes locked with Adam's when he shook his head.
