The young man looked at the catastrophe unfolding before him. His tears overflowed his eyes with despair. This had been his fault, he had caused it, no one else. And yet a part of him was enjoying it. After all, the world had caused this with its own hands.
The screams of the dying echoed in his ears, feeding that growing joy hiding in the darkest place inside his soul. Is this really how a prince should act? It didn't seem so royalty, and yet he felt amused by a nation falling all because of him.
He gazed over at the man dying on the floor near him, eaten alive by monsters created by his power. Dark monsters that hid in the dark, waiting for their prey to fall into its trap.
He smiled, seeing as one of the corpses was still alive, crawling to him.
